Prizefighter night looks good, top of the bill John Ryder v Jez Wilson loooks a real good fight, they both throw lots of shots, should be a cracker and in Prizefighter a real good draw, Paddy Gallagher, an excellent former amateur, should be suited to this, against Erick Ochieng, in last chance saloon, Erick could go back to the old Reckless Erick for this one, his latest spar was caught on tv and he looked to be having a real gym war, Dean Byrne v Mark Douglas should be a real fight, Johny Coyle the most inexperienced against the most experienced should be interesting, Cook might be past his best, but he can bang a bit and the best fight of the lot in my opinion Johny Garton v Sam Eggington, that could be fight of the night, my tips would be Paddy Gallagher will love this format and Sam Eggington is improving all the time, they could meet in the final, but all in all it is good balanced competition.

Like Mark Douglas in this.Game as a pebble and has plenty of experience. Will not be intimidated by anyone.
Also like the look of Johnny Garton.Looks talented and hard working.Only lost one round in 10 pro fights

Paddys not long out of the amatures/wsb so the format should suit him very well
For those who don't know paddy beat Callum smith in the 2010 commonwealth finals
To claim gold. He's very strong was very rough in the amatures tough as nails he was.
If he meets Ryder along the way it will be a cracker. He's defiantly worth a punt

I am biased as have watched Garton from the start. He is a good boxer, and can be aggressive which I think he will have to use in this format. My worries really are level of opponents he has fought so far and also his lack of power, but as mentioned he is aggressive so hoping he can win the fights on points.

Will be a cracking atmosphere as Garton always brings numbers, as does Boylan who is also on the card (not in prizefighter).

Sam Eggington is a live underdog. He has improved a lot since his last appearance on Prizefighter as the youngest ever entrant. Eggington v Garton could produce the winner of the competition. The bookies' favourite rarely wins Prizefighter

Eggington has improved a lot thats for sure, he must have every chance, all the quarters are decent in there own way, Gallagher should really be suited to this but whomever wins
this is likely to have three tough fights looking at the draw, Gallagher/Eggington final for me

Picking Byrne myself, high work rate and he'll walk through anything to get his punches off, over the shorter distance he might just outwork everyone.

Read an interesting article from when Paddy Gallagher lost in unpaid ranks William McLaughlin.
Think he lost 15-2.
McLaughlin saying after that he didn't think Paddy was a true welterweight and he was walking through his shots with ease???
Any truth in this??
Is he a bit over hyped perhaps??
Some big strong lads in this competition so he better be strong enough!?

He's small in hight but he's very blocky big shoulders he was in my weight in the intermediates
In 09 at 64kgs he won them and he won the under 21s at the same weight that year that was 5 years ago he's grown into the weight your spot on though there is good lads in the comp it will be thight I'd say

Douglas at 25-1 is worth a few quid.

Byrne is too easy to hit,to win this you need defense,but he is very experienced,just think he is damaged goods from all the hard spars in the states
