Just saw this fight for the first time yesterday. I thought McCallum gave a game effort and was doing well from rounds 1-8 (though after round 6 he was starting to show his age). I scored it 117-110 (with a possibility of it being 116-111). Does anyone remember their score for this fight? Also how do you guys think McCallum would have faired had he hypothetically met Roy when he was younger/more primed? Personally, I think he could have made it a draw or SD either way under that scenario

Jones gave mike a payday and carried him a little. The "39" year old McCallum finally had age catch up with him he wasn't the same fighter he was 5 years earlier and Jones didn't leave 2nd gear

Jones would have done what curry was doing but he'd be operating in top gear to do so

I can see that in their second half of the fight, but Roy did have a tendency where if he couldn't completely overwhelm you with speed or seriously hurt you then he'd be content with playing the points angle.

Mike was definitely showing his age but I think he was still crafty enough where he didn't allow Roy to put on a highlight reel. Roy respected it and did enough for the W
