Just been watching the triller jones had with Jamie Moore for British title it was there 3rd fight, haven't really seen much of jones besides that, what was he like as a fighter? I remember reading that farnell said he was the best he ever sparred

Good, exciting fighter Jones. A tall and rangy guy who liked a tear-up. Hope he's getting on well these days.

Michael beat Takaloo on points whereas Alexander destroyed Tak. That probably sums it up. Nevertheless, Jones was a good boxer with a sharp punch and plenty of guts (he fought on in the first Moore encounter with his nose broken in seven places). The tall Speke man proved a solid domestic operator.

Not quite. Takaloo was out-boxing Alexander and had badly hurt him to the body; he got one-punched whilst somewhat prematurely trying to finish him off.

I never said that! But he was a good boxer.
