Wasn't it a bit of a shame

That Matt Skelton never put his European title on the line the night rogan destroyed him, what a story that would been taxi driver/boxer turns pro at 33 to go on and win the European title, which is a great and legendary belt held by some all time greats

Maybe because the EBU wouldn't sanction it.
The Commonwealth was on offer - and the BBB of C sanctioned that one.

It was because Rogie wasn't in there top 15 at the time I think.

Rogan should of left that ring commonwealth and European champion, he might of even been able to get him self a dream world title fight just of the fact he was holding them two belts

Would potentially be a Bit unfair on rogie the headline "taxi driver turns pro boxer" as he did have a good, albeit short, amateur career winning the irish seniors and representing his country.
As the story goes he wouldve remained amateur but lost in the second round in a tournament abroad (euros maybe). As rogie had been beat and eliminated he went out that night for few pints. Upon his return to the hotel the irish coaching team gave him a rollocking for drinking, unacceptable even if you are out of the tournament. Rogie turned to them and said "im 29 (or whatever) years old, out of the tournament, ill have a pint if i want" words were exchanged and he told them to shove it. Couple years later went pro.
Allegedly.
Never a dull fight with Rogie, give him that.
