I have an opinion that Carl Frampton is probably the most ducked fighter in any weight division of the current boxing scene. Three of the World Champions in his weight class do not seem to have an interest in facing him:

Santa Cruz had wanted the Cazares fight, as it would have made a bundle of money with it being an "All-Mexican" showdown. I can see him employing the same delaying tactics that we have seen before.

Scott Quigg only talks about Frampton when he has a fight coming up that that already been signed. Thus, it provides him the security of talk down of Carl and not have the option of facing him.

As for Martinez - he has become a bit of a joke to my mind. When Carl last fought him the fight was sanctioned as an "IBF Title Eliminator" - and Carl won that fight. Then Martinez gets the shot before Carl does.

Then when Frampton fought Parodi that was labelled an "IBF Final Eliminator" then Carls wins that fight and awaits the winner of Martinez and Mathebula.

After Martinez wins that fight (December) within 30 days he decides not to face his mandatory challenger (which was universally recognised as Carl Frampton) but instead decides to have a voluntary title defence against a fighter who is currently ranked 24th in the world... Not even the top 20!!!

And Martinez has actually run off to Japan to have that fight... Chased out of the continent by the though of having a rematch against Frampton.

Well you would think so, Frampton has been waiting over 12 months for his IBF Title shot and because the title scene is in so much of a mish-mosh if has prevented Carl from getting his rightful shot for that title.

It's clear that Martinez upset the apple cart when he beat Romero.

Frampton vs Martinez II is garbage. If Frampton wants that fight more than Santa Cruz or Rigondeaux fights then he's the big ducker.

He needs a team that can lobby the federations and push his claim for a world title, a person who understands the inner workings of the governing bodies, who represents him at conventions? does he have a lawyer?

If he really wants to be world champion fight Rigondeaux just turning into another Kell Brook, have a shit or get off the toilet!!

As far as i was aware Santa Cruz is more than happy to fight him

I believed so as well. From what I heard Leo was looking forward to a big title defence in the summer... After Frampton's victory, it seems he wants to move it back to the autumn time.

By that standard everyone in the weight class in ducking Rigondeaux. And if I were Carl's management - I wouldn't agree to fight Rigondeaux, he's not ready for that fight.

Santa cruz called frampton out in the post fight interview after his last fight a few weeks back.

Is nobody willing to answer my question? Rigo is ready, willing and able to come to Belfast. If you're serious about being number one, you have to beat him. Why won't he fight him?

I think your question is rhetorical (!) but the answer is Rigo would beat him and derail the whole bandwagon.

I don't think Frampton was ever classed as the IBF mandatory.

Frampton never ducked Galahad he dropped to Euro to move on to better and bigger things ie becomeing mandatory for the WBC title.

Galahad would have done the same.

Martinez knows he's not going to beat Frampton. The guys entitled to make a bit of money if he can he's been around for a while.
