Of all the upcoming UK fights, this one has had a bit of an understated profile and could easily turn out to be one of the UK fights of the year. I think Crolla has enough to keep John off for a closish points win but with some good rounds for Murray if he can impose himself and keep the engine going. From Ringside it seems that they are good mates but hopefully both will feel that there's enough at stake to turn this into a bit of a barn burner. Looking forward to this one more that Fury/Chisora for sure.... and it's only a week away.

Although Crolla is probably at his peak and Murray may have seen better days i still think John will be too strong and aggressive for Anthony and i fancy Murray to get the stoppage middle to late rounds,i do think though that with Crolla being a good looking sod his toughness is questioned but he has proven time and time again he's willing to stand up to the toughest,his first fight with Sykes was da bomb,i couldn't care less who wins though as both seem top lads

Never been that impressed with Crolla. Some were talking about him fighting for a world title not long back.

Murray should win by stoppage. They both have little head movement and that brings it down to who is the stronger of the two for me. dont see Crolla outworking Murray.

Murray is a big and strong lightweight with a great attack minded style; Crolla is a thinking boxer with a good resume of combination punching, It'll be a fantastic bout and I think Murray will get to Crolla inside the first 6 rounds - he'll be very intense.

Really looking forward to this fight, be a good clash of styles. If John still as a lot in the tank could be the making of a British fight of the year. Hopefully! Both good lads as well

If the fight goes a few rounds how will this affect John? He's only completed 4 rounds in about 30 months. Did he balloon up during his break from the sport?

I've got him as a favourite but does he have the engine for a tough 12 round clash? The rest may have done him the world of good or the opposite.

If Crolla can stay out of danger early doors he should outbox Murray down the stretch.

Hard to say what Murray has left as he's not been tested since being pummelled by Rios.

If you look at there records (I know records are for dj's) I couldn't ever see John losing to the 3 guy's Crolla has lost to, but on the flip side I can easily see Crolla losing to Murray's 2 guys. Also if you look at there best wins Murray has a lot more impressive resume, I know styles make fights but if John is somewhere near his best he wins this hands down for me.

If Murray has plenty left in the tank then I have no doubt he wins this.

tough, tough fight. Both excellent pros. Always liked Crolla, but maybe lacks the power to keep Murray off over the distance? Very difficult fight to call, but I think Crolla wins.

If both were at their best I think murray walks through crolla. Crolla has come on a bit since they sparred and murray hasn't been in the ring much. It may just even this fight up a bit. I have more splinters up my backside than the teenage mutant ninja turtles.

They're both great to watch. I'm a massive Crolla fan. But having said that I know Murray can smash him in the first 6 rounds. After that Ant will come on and ram it back at him.

Don't underestimate Crolla's size. He's a decent lightweight, he stood easily with Rees who is also big at the weight. Murray is imposing early on and he's brilliant to watch but I think Crolla's got his number, he soaks up pressure very well and if he can take the punishment he'll win.

I'd say that Crolla learnt enough from the first Derry fight to know his limits with his chin. He edges it. Either way Manchester's a winner!

Really looking forward to this fit aswell I have Murray stopping crolla. I think crolla is overrated myself how sky have him ranked tenth in the world and boxrec have him second in Britain I don't known. he lost to Gavin Rees and Derry Mathews I also think he loses to Mitchell buckland and coyle aswell.

Crolla will struggle with Murray's power simple as that and will want to trade to please the crowd which he can do, but like against Derry the stronger man will come through.

I was gona type this. Rees only stayed at lightweight cos that's were the money was. I think crolla out boxes him now. John always made it hard for himself even at his best. Hes prob lost a step, and of course will have a different man in the corner.

Going on their ringside appearance, John seems to take an awful lot of confidence from their sparring, and that could be a HUGE mistake (ask carl froch).

I think Rees once had a world eliminator scheduled at super feather but it fell through. Wouldn't say he was a huge lightweight.

See he's fighting Buckland again. So many great match ups in this division domestically

That was my first thought, Rees has always looked a bit fleshy and he is really short. He won the WBO Inter-Continental at featherweight, at that time he was 21, then had a lot of non title fights before he won the world title, but to be honest I think the only reason he ended up at light welter was the circumstances, a world title shot must have been too good to turn down in his position. Afterwards lightweight was where the money was, but I think he could have made super feather.

Do like Murray, hope he wins this in his usual marauding way.

As a side, such a shame Joe Murray seems to have wasted his talent.

I do think Murray will win but don't think it will be easy. Crolla has improved. Really looking forward to the fight!
