Well. I mean, well. Uh. Much more dangerous fight, imo, with one proviso:

How big's Munyai at the weight? I've never seen him fight over bantam, though I know he's really tall...

I'd say it's an easier opponent stylistically as Cermeno is a tricky ol' SOB with toughness and world class experienced
Munyai, if he fills out to the weight, could well be a very dangerous late opponent and IIRC he was sparring with Martin Ward so will be in shape as it is

There were rumours going about a week back about this so while it is obviously a late notice replacement I don't think it's a 'weeks notice' late replacement.

Munyai has fought several times at Super-Bantam so I don't anticipate size being an issue although Quigg does seem to be very big at the weight.

If Munyai is in shape he will be a horrible opponent for Quigg!

I think scott quigg is always in great shape probarly the hardest trainer I have ever seen so his opponent will need to be in shape

Better than the original fight. Looking forward to this one now. I remember seeing this guy take apart power and haskins when they were unbeaten and Munyai was around 20 thinking this guy is going to be a world champ. Never quite worked out for some reason but now he has his chance.

See, that's what I thought.

Whatever Cermeno used to be (& indeed he did used to be something) he isn't that now. I can't believe Munyai can have less in the tank than a man who lost 9 of twelve rounds to Alexander Bakhtin.

Me too. I was surprised that no UK promoter snapped him up after that little streak in the UK.

Can anyone fill me in on his strengths/ weaknesses?

I remember when i just started getting into boxing hardcore,Munyai coming over here and tearing up the script a couple of times,,i totally forgot all about him,he was tough,TEEK TOUGH :!: :!:
