Depends what you mean by success.
Matt Skelton become British and Commonwealth champ and also fought for a world title and he was ( at least ) 35 when he turned pro!

Got stopped by Martin Rogan (great fight) who was 33 when he turned pro.

Legendary Hungarian amateur Laszlo Papp was 31 I believe when he turned pro and went onto become undeafeted pro European champion.

Stephen 'Block' Reynolds. Turned over at 39. Victorious in BUI's 'Fight of the Year' last year. Now 40 and will fight for Irish title by the end of the summer.

How come he hasn't been more active? At 40 I would have thought he would want to earn a bit of money while he can and after spending so long in the amateurs, would want to keep active as well.
