What's next, I think he should try and get down to middleweight, he doesn't seem strong enough at SMW to me.

He lacks a few things but some of those can be worked on. Is he gonna be a World champ? No and lets not hype him that way, but he can possibly win British and maybe even European honours if he works really hard and learns from this.

Buglioni is value for money but too easy to hit

It was always going to happen.

Buglioni has very little movement. Everything he does he looks as if he's been taught nothing seems to come naturally to him.

I'd agree British / Commonwealth / maybe European level. If he gets any further than that he'll have to improve enormously.

He's a nice fella, good looking lad - and marketable on that basis.

But in pure boxing terms, if you cannot get past that kind of opponent, then your unlikely to win the English title in such a deep division.

I had a flutter on this and whilst I wasn't dead cert like I usually am - I had a very big hunch it would be tonight he lost.

That sort of match wont be on Frank's radar - Buglioni's confidence will have been severely dented by the events of last night - he needs at least two 8 rounders against light punchers lacking in ambition before they consider testing him again.

Why throw a ticket seller like Frank in deep to see if he can swim again so soon?

A loss isn't the end of the world; he showed toughness and heart and has a bit to work on.

Agree, it's boxing by numbers. Not a natural at all.

He was beaten by a Middleweight journeyman.

It's the way he lost which is a concern. He should be dealing with guys like that if he is serious about going places.

I thought a similar thing. Don't want to criticize him too much because I think there is a lot that he does well and it's certainly not the end for him. He's the kind of bloke that will be desperate to get back in the gym and improve so this loss might actually be good for him.

Was a massive left hand he took, ropes helped keep him upright but still did well to stay on his feet.

Not a good way to get beat by a 39 year old. If he'd lost close on points maybe that would be ok, but he got blasted out of there, was taking that left hook and straight right all night. Looks too stiff and upright doesn't roll with punches, lots of work on the defensive side needed.

Looks like Fwank needs to make a few more Fighter in Trade programmes for his channel seeing as 2 of the 3 prospects come unstuck last night

In all seriousness though i was impressed with Skeete last night he showed that bit of devil thats been lacking and he himself maybe thought wasn't there

When I saw the fight I was surprised. I dont share the view that Khomitsky is a journeyman. He is a bloody good pro and hard as nails. I think Buglioni was a couple of years away from this level, and he can come again. He is only 24, He does have ability, and like all sportsmen/women can work on his faults. Just the wrong fight at the wrong time I think.

He turns 25 in a few weeks so he should be in his peak years really.

Over the years I have seen 100s of young prospects have the wheels come off. Some have recovered and have gone on to have great or solid careers, others have never been the same again. I think this "peak years" thing is so variable and I think the boy is good enough to come again-if he wants it enough.

I think the guy Buglioni fought is a lot better than given credit for, and could upset a lot of young pros-be interesting to see how eubank junior would get on with him?

It came a few fights too soon. Mark Tibbs got Buglioni out of there at the right time and he can come back stronger for the experience.

Props to Khomitsky, he took his chance. Lovely foot placement and snappy hooks finished Buglioni in stlye and Tibbs made exactly the right call stopping him from getting badly KO'd.

Its a bit harsh to call Khomitsky a journeyman though. He doesn't travel to lose to the home fighter, he's in shape, game and comes to fight. He's lost only 4 in last 4 years. He does tend to lose at the higher level so was a good benchmark for Buglioni, which unfortunately he failed quite badly. Shame cause he seems like a nice lad. Hopefully he'll tighten up & come back a better fighter.
