If we get the Woodhouse that beat Hamilton and the Limond that boxed khan then it should be some fight!

With all the talk of the Aba s , what was Willis pedrigree in ams, was he a national champ?, did he box at commonwealths?

I would expect Curtis Woodhouse to beat Willie Limond, Limond is a solid technical boxer but a bit one paced and I think Woodhouse will win on points.

I'll get him, set a fast pace and drown him in the deep water, I think I'll have some sticky patches and the crowd will take him to another level but this is my time, I will win

History could have been written so differently for Limond had the ref administered a full and proper count in the Khan fight but that was a while ago now and Willie wasn't for whatever reason able to capatilise on that but he should feel happy that he,s still a Commonwealth champ because after the Crolla performance i thought he was finished at title level and TBF the wins over Doyle and Prince have done nothing to change my POV

But now in Woodhouse he's facing a live,dangerous opponent who's in his prime coming of the performance of his life so i'm strongly fancying Curtis to be too big and strong and although i think Willie is tough enough to grit it out,i feel he'll be praying for the bell come the end

Great unification fight and give me this anyday over some total mis-match between a talented fighter and just some "tough cookie" who has zero chance of competing let alone dominate

And Curtis if you win mate,you will be joining an illustrious list of people who have beaten Limond (Morales,Khan,Arthur and Crolla) decent company

Sorry Curtis, I would love to see you get another notch on that belt, and to see you win the thing outright, but for this one my money is on Limmond. If you had took the fight in the midlands I think that would swing to you a bit, but in Scotland I think Limmond is the very slight favourite. Hoping you can prove me wrong.

Do you seriously think it makes one iota of difference where this fight takes place ? Unless of course you are insinuating that the judges could be swayed in Braveheart land ?

I am not insinuating anything. I am saying outright that home advantage in ANY sport makes a massive difference both to the support you get and your morale and also the effect this can have on judges and refs. I am NOT saying Judges/refs will deliberately cheat, but psychology tells us officials performance is swayed by support. The evidence for this is overwhelming.

In a 50/50 fight, which I think this home advantage could well be the key.

Limond is being written off here against a man who has already achieved more than anyone expected (deservedly so) and on the threads surrounding this there is another boxer people are expecting to challenge the p4p number 1. That boxer obviously being Amir Khan who was very lucky to survive against Limond himself back when they fought earlier in their careers!

Styles make fights & limond is a good text book boxer!! When was the last time he fought?? Yeah I think Curtis is capable of jumping on him early & not let him settle in as he needs

I'm going to step to him straight from the start and try and make it a fight, if he gets into a rhythm I'm in trouble, got to get to work ASAP, make him fight my fight, it's a tough fight but one I can win if i get it right on the night
