Billy, done my fair share of coaching over the years, and brought through boxers and been told I must be mad matching boxers as I did, we took a tin pot club to England internationals in 4 years, I know for a fact I'd manage him the same way I did as an amataur , he would thrive and come to the boil and have the right step you up opponents,

Journey men are a waste of time for George,,,, live opponents are the way to go! Step him up with fellow /6-8-10 round fighters as he progresses

Not at all,,, I really couldn't care less about pro boxing,, whAt I do care about, is a fighter I care about, being used as a cash cow, instead of nurturing his talent properly, putting him as a fight 2 fights in before the main event, that's career suicide,

I disagree putting him in two fights before the main event would have been great for his development had he won,if he won fighting in front of all those people he'd have went back to the gym hungry for more hence he'd push himself that little harder in training ect
As I've said it may be an off night give him a chance to regroup

No, not his ex coach, although I did match probably his first 40 odd fights as an amataur , so I would have more of an insight of what makes him tick than most on here, fighting journeymen pads records, and set you back as you start believing the shite your being fed

You can't match him like an amateur, lose in the amateurs and you move onto the next fight or tournament. A defeat as a pro has a much bigger impact, loss of support, rankings, less interest from TV and sponsors and if you're not careful, it's easy to turn into a journeyman, winning one fight and losing the next, finishing up with an average record, no meaningful titles and little money to show for it, even if you may be remembered as a tough bastard who took on all comers.

Why not??? He's a 60 fight amataur , should be able to deal with 10 bout pros, if your not able, shouldn't be put on before main event and on bunces every week, rod for your own back!, so, come on expe, out yourself, I'll start, my nAmes eugene

Mind you everyone as disagreements on here about something, but some are insulting and disrespectful about fighters, which I don't much care for, especially any fighter I train and I have big balls, people who know me will tell you, I don't know how you think my comment relates to you ?
