Okay this should technically be in the amateur section but what the hell.
Im thinking of putting some money on Hann, he talks the talk and when he was on soccer am a few weeks back seemed to be taking this quite serious.

Does anyone know what trainers both these guys are employing??
Im assuming the "pot whack" fight will be broadcast on the beeb?

What a load of crap.

They are so shit at snooker they have to turn to boxing to make the headlines.

I'd fight the pair of them at the same time.

Don't be silly, King is twice the size of Hann - remember he was the one who proposed this. Hann wanted to take on Hicks, King said that he'll replace him.

It is quite amusing, the players at the lower end of the proffesional game to struggle a bit financially, So I do wonder if it the money is going to charity. King has admitted it his only chance of beating Ronnie.

I hope that Australian cuntok gets his ass kicked. I'll offer to stand in for either of them and belt that fornicating stupid haircut round to the back of his head for him, cocky fornicating twat.

I liked the way the guy reminded him he was out of the top 16 after he lost, shame the Aussie poofter couldn't take what he was dishing out, he was quick to give it the charlie big potatoes before the match, then couldn't take it when he lost.

I think Hicks would have kicked his arse anyway, he Aussie looked like a perfumed ponce, the sort who got bullied for hanging out with the girls in the school playground.

When and where are they fighting, I wondered where there is any sort of 'official' information on the 'bout.'

Snooker star Quinten Hann is ready to fight all of his rivals - after it was confirmed he will face Mark King in the boxing ring.

Hann admitted he has often felt like punching an opponent during a match - and can't wait to get it on with his old adversary at Bethnal Green's York Hall next month.

The pair came face to face at Dagenham Boxing Club for the weigh-in to promote their ABA-sanctioned bout - dubbed 'Pot Whack'.

"I've only played Mark twice at snooker since turning professional and beaten him both times," Hann revealed. "But this is obviously a bit different!"

The fight - to be held on 11 June - is the result of a simmering feud going back to their junior days, which resurfaced during the World Snooker Championship last month.

Australian Hann challenged Andy Hicks to a scrap after words were exchanged during their first round match - and King stepped in to take Hicks' place.

Hann, renowned for his bad-boy image, admitted he was not the most liked player on the snooker circuit, but said it didn't bother him.

He told BBC Sport: "I wind a lot of the players up, but King isn't that popular either. Most of the other players will be at ringside and providing I beat him, I will fight anyone in snooker.

"Loads of times in the past I've wanted to chin another player during a game, but obviously you can't do that - so bring it on in the ring!"

King was equally upbeat, insisting: "I'm not going there to lose, I'll tell you that much. The bookies have got me as favourite and I'll be looking to justify that - even though neither of us has boxed before."

The pair have enlisted the help of top trainers to get them in shape and will be going toe-to-toe over three two-minute rounds in a charity bout sponsored by EA Sports game Fight Night.

"He's got no chance - I hope it only goes one round," said King.

"Quinten isn't that well-liked. We've never got on since we were kids. One time we were practising and he told me I was no good. So I played him for £500 and I won - and he accused me of being a bully.

"We'll see who comes out on top on the night."

So is this really the future of snooker - any arguments and it's off to get the boxing gloves on?

Hann certainly thinks so. "It's good way to sort out differences," he said.

"Plus the fact, it's probably the only way for anyone to beat Ronnie O'Sullivan - he's too good on the snooker table, that's for sure!"

The BBC have been reporting it - apparently the BBBoC approve of it. I can't understand why they approve of this and the celebrity boxing thingy, perhaps its to do with their age.

yes, amateurs can only fight up to 35 (i think) and bovey and gervais were well past this, not to mention Les "5hit mavis impression" Dennis

I hope Hann goes on to fight Mark Williams. Williams was an amateur boxer, i think and had been considering turning pro.

Mark Williams looks in bloody awful shape though, and is rail thin.

I'd like to see Ronnie O Sullivan shove Hann's face down his throat, I reckon Ronnie can handle himself, and he's definetly done enough roadwork as he runs 10 miles a day.

it would indeed be interesting to witness a man shoving his opponent's face down his throat. would the entire head be inverted? nah, the skull would just splinter and remain at the top of the head, like a cycle helmet, while the face implodes into a fleshy tube fromwhence it pops down the victim's gullet like a raw sausage.

I reckon O'Sullivan couldnt fight his way out of a paper bag.

By far and away the hardest snooker player is Eddie Charlton. He was a proper hardcase.

He boxed, rowed and ran for Australia.

If my memory serves me correctly, he boxed in the Olympics.

I recall him sparking Alex Higgins once.

Yeah Eddie was a real toughnut, not the brightest bulb in the illuminations however. He really had that 'I'll punch your lights out if you say one more word' look on his face. A very dour and moody man by all accounts.

Oh yeah, he used to swaer under his breath whilst his opponent made a century.

By all accounts Cliff Thorburn could have a straightner too.

this will be a wild slugfest i fancy king to come out on top being stockier and more suited to that style than the taller hann

Quite simply put, snooker is for poofs. Snooker players are girls. If these two fannies want a fight then let them do it, but dont call it boxing. Call it two pussies thinking their tough. pair of pricks
