Week 17 Fight of the Week Nominees

A very, very interesting week in the Sim. We have our first Unified Champ, A New WBO and IBF Champion, and a whole slew of great fights to choose from for this award. To me the top nominees were.
Manuel Ortiz vs Marco Antonio Barrera - These two really went at it, and Ortiz was able to pull out a tight decision in the end, but it was a real tough battle for both.
Oscar Larios vs Poonsawat Kratingdaenggym - I said recently that Larios has never been in a bad fight, and he still hasn't. This was another great battle with Poonsawat edging out a close one.
Erik Morales vs Celestino Caballero - Caballero was performing very well, and ahead on all 3 scorecards, but Morales was able to pull it out of the first with a dramatic 9th round stoppage in a tough, tough battle.
Rafael Marquez vs Manny Pacquiao - These two traded bombs, and the momentum every step of the way. High drama as both men were hurt by the other on more than one occasion.
Jeff Chandler vs Orlando Canizales - Canizales came right out the gate, and jumped all over Chandler giving him hell from the start, but Chandler was able to fight his way back into the fight, and get enough good work in to take the decision and remain The World's Toughest Fighter
Panama Al Brown vs Eder Jofre - This was a great championship fight, and probably the most surprising result of the week for me as Al Brown was able to take the split decision over arguably the most feared man in the Sim.
Sixto Escobar vs Terry McGovern - McGovern valiantly tried to defend his belt against the very talented, but just couldn't quite do enough and lost his title in a close bout.
Exciting week. Take your pick gentleman. This will be a very close vote I think. Lots of very, very fun fights here.
