Well....anyone? Floyd was in a very tough fight tonight that many people didn't have him winning. He's struggled in the past with fast opponents and Khan is about as fast as it gets. He also punches in bunches, and Floyd struggled with that tonight against Maidana.

Obviously Amir doesn't have a good chin, but Floyd isn't a puncher and I wouldn't be surprised if Khan could stand up to his punches for a while at least. I think Floyd would win, but I don't think a Khan victory is unrealistic.

Stylistically, he has a chance...

I don't think he can win, but he can genuinely win a few rounds early going with his speed and combinations.

He would present alternative problems for mayweather than his last few opponents. Its unlikely but its not impossible. Khan will not be fighting mayweather next up because of ramadan so it would be next year.

The real question is how quickly will mayweather slow down? I mean, it was a close run thing last night vs an opponent that shouldn't have given him that much trouble. Certainly not a few years ago he wouldn't. If we fast forward another 12 months khan will be 28 (supposedly when a fighter enters his prime) and mayweather will be 38 (I think). Will khan's speed become more evident next year?

Speed speed speed is his chance. He has carried it upto 147. He has the best shot out there right now in my opinion. Roy jones said it a few years back that Khan has the beat chance of a pitta patta points victory and i agree.

Khan has got a good chance of making a good fight with Floyd and winning a few rounds; I think Khan suits welter and he is 27 years old and maybe approaching his prime. He'll give the Floyd of last night an argument.

I disagree about the fact Floyd doesn't have power, he landed some really tasty shots last night and i think he'd certainly have the edge in that department were him and Khan to fight.

Ive always given Amir a good chance of the upset against Floyd, i just think he has the 1 great/life defining win in him, the same way he has the vulnerabillity to get taken out by somebody far below him in his fight right after.

Floyd's no killer like say Thurman, Porter etc can possibly be with that power they possess.

Floyd is defend first, attack maybe later.

Khan would have to view it as amatuer fight, scoring points and forget the ko.

I think the chances of PBF fighting khan after both their performances last night is slim to none. But i think khan could well have the style to beat him.

Khan would make a good start but be stopped late on.

Khan's speed will give him a chance and I think he'll take some rounds. Floyd will probably figure out a way to win in the end and will probably edge a points victory, but Amir certainly has a chance.

yeah I agree. Sooner or later Floyd will turn things around in his favour and at that point Khan would need a lot of belief to cope with what was going on and not get too demoralised. I think he'd end completely and utterly outfoxed and outboxed and then throw caution to the window. At which point Mayweather would put him on the canvas. I would envisage a Mayweather stoppage somewhere around 9 or 10.

Not really no, although I'd love to see it, the Americans first defeat to a lad from the north west.

People have been saying about Mayweather struggling the other night, but I think Maidana has become a better fighter over the last couple of years.

If he doesn't fight Mayweather it would be interesting to see him in with Maidana again.

Can you not pretend to do ramadan? Like when I bet my wife that I could go 3 months without drinking or I had to do the housework for 3 months, I had a stash of bottles hidden in the garage and shed so I could have a sneaky one every now and then.

I write this with some trepidation, but I can't help but hold my head and gape in astonishment as I watch medieval mysticism curtail a boxing mega fight that could and should happen in September of the year TWO-THOUSAND-FOURTEEN.

The older Mayweather gets then there will clearly be some opportunity for a speed merchant like Khan to have a chance to nick it on points.

It's unlikely, but possible. Unlikely in that if it was a close fight there's no way Mayweather is gona lose a points decision in vegas.

Let's not get carried away though, Khan's beaten a good, tough, but ultimately limited opponent in Collazo - Mayweather is still on another level, it's just whether age catches up with him.

I get where you're coming from and it's still nice to see some things are worth more than money to some people; (not me though)

I do find Khan's relationship with his religion a little strange at times. I mean he's very strict on some things but then you have pics like this

I thought a big part of the islamic faith was displaying modesty and humility in regards to money, ie not flashing it about.

Exactly, Khan is a walking contradiction. Like a lot of people who follow religion.

Maybe, but if all his family and many of his friends are fasting etc he'd really be best off doing the same. Most people do things that a bishop or vicar wouldn't be chuffed with, especially if they are young, loaded and stupid.
