Has anyone......

Changed their opinion on the outcome of a Khan-Brook matchup if it were to happen? I always fancied Brook initially as I thought he'd catch Khan with something big (which could still happen) but after watching Amir against Collazo last night, I think Khan has improved since the Diaz fight. His volume was back again but yet in a controlled manner. I think Brook would have to withstand some serious leather before catching Khan, unless he caught him in the first couple of rounds which again in possible. Anyway, yeah, thoughts?

I fancied Brook to stop him before last night and not much has changed, Brook isn't a huge hitter but he's not a soft puncher and I think he'll land tellingly at some point. I would want Khan to win, I'd love him to blow Brook away inside three but I can't see it, I can hope, though.

Kell will be a lot more effective than Luis.

If Khan boxes smart like he did last night and stays out of danger, for me he comes through a few dodgy moments to win on points, nowhere near as easily as against Collazo though. Previously I thought Khan would outbox Kell, but sooner or later would walk onto one, similar to the Garcia fight and get stopped.

I picked Khan before and I still do.
Khan has dominated world level fighters. Brook has beaten Senchenko and Hatton.

I think at this stage of their careers, if they fought ten times they'd beat each other a few times. You couldn't really say it would be ten nil either way. I am chuffed for Amir after last night's win. Brook would be a tough fight for him though. It would be the toughest challenge of Brook's career, but you couldn't really say the same the other way round. I'd hedge my bets with Brook prevailing but wouldn't put more than ten pence on the outcome. I don't really get all the resentment against either fighter. If Brook wins the IBF title, and if Mayweather gives Maidana a return, Brook/Khan really should happen and it would be a domestic blockbuster.
I'll say one thing for Khan, when Broner showed what a p rick he was last night, Amir's class really stood out. You can take it for granted, but coming after Broner, it sort of shone really

I always find myself saying a similar thing as a prediction going into a khan fight and it wouldnt win me any bets in the bookies as it covers all bases.
Khan could win a unanimous decision against (opponent), maybe even pick up a stoppage if (opponent) cant handle his speed but if he gets dragged into a war and bombs get exchanged then he will get knocked out.
Not exactly a decisive review by any means but thats the way id see it with Khan against many top names including Brook. Thats why hes exciting to watch as even if he is 10 rounds up on the cards everyone still thinks he could get knocked out in the last couple of rounds! Lol.

I have absolutely no idea how good or bad Brook is. Seriously. None!
I've watched maybe ten of his fights & I am still none the wiser.
And that might be a good thing.
Or not

As previously stated, its difficult as Brook is unproven as yet.
I still think Brook has the timing to beat khan. Its his great strength. Khan is quick but Brooks timing, thus far anyway, looks razor sharp. I think khan is made for Brook.

I can't see any result or performance to pick Brook over Khan. Whatever Brook might have had, it has probably stultified with years of treading water. I think Khan would beat him up, pretty badly.

Haha was wondering if this was to come up.
I slightly go toward Khan right now
but Kells fight with Porter will show us a lot.

I thought Brook looked the best about 5 years ago; he ripped through his domestic rivals and did it in real style. The years since have seen the quality of opposition improve but not as much as you'd imagine. Lets see him v Porter, that's the first really world class boxer he have faced. Khan has won and lost against some really good fighters - world class fighters.
(I wonder how Brook would get on with Collazo?)

be interesting to see brook vs collazo now to compare how they deal with him. khan's movement looked really slick so not sure how well brook would be able to pin him down. khan on points for me though.

Khan stoppage. He has the speed and power - and experience to stop Brook imo.

Yeah that would be an interesting one. I'd pick Kell to outbox Collazo over 12 rounds with possibly a late stoppage with the added power I think Kell Possesses but I dont think he'd look as good as Khan doing it. Kell is by no means slow but he's not got Khan's freakish speed which I think was the biggest issue for Collazo. He was getting hit with shots and then follow up shots before he could even react to the first. Khan has frightening speed.

Every way. I think he would have a gameplan and try to walk Amir on to shots. Collazo looked clueless.

If it was 12 months ago, I'd have favoured Kell Brook by death. I'm a big fan of Kell when he's on the money.
However, seeing how fat and mediocre Kell has been lately inside and outside the ring, then I'm not so sure anymore.
It's like Kell is a physical beast at welterweight, with explosive power and speed - but the longer he lives in the pub, the shorter his career will be.
In conclusion, it's a fight I'm not so sure about anymore after Khan's terrific performance on Saturday.

I think Brook is a much sharper boxer than Collazo and has more power. That said I think Brook is dead at the weight after 7/8 rounds. He should have moved up to light middle last year imo.
Whenever fighters start saying "I am doing things right now, I am preparing properly and I have a nutritionist on board" you think, hang on you are a world class athlete and you have only just started to take your career seriously enough to think about your diet and training regime now, then I think you are struggling and started to look for answers.
Mind you also shows how backwards we are in British boxing when it comes to sports science and modern training methods.

Collazo knew what he had to but just wasn't able to do it; khan was hitting him plenty hard as well. Khan looks good at welter and brook may be growing out of the division; it's a fight in itself to make weight and stay strong.

Backward? I agree, if Brook was on the same diet and supplements as Porter, he'd be a handful for all.

I think it's unfair to insinuate that someone is on the juice when there's absolutely no proof as of this time.

Some British fighters and trainers are among the best informed in the world.
