No, this isn't a fashion accessory thread.
Does anyone know what they got for their first bout & have any clue what they are getting for the rematch?
Apologies if this has been done already.
Cheers

Weird that I was thinking of posting this exact same thread. It was after seeing some ad for it where It said '20million in prize money.' Surely the combined purse isn't going to be that, even after any split of PPV money is added on?

Maybe. If Hearns has offered Khan £5m to fight Brook then it's not beyond belief that Froch gets £13 to Groves's £7m (I'm pulling these figures out of my arse).
I doubt it's that much but I'd imagine Carl is getting AT LEAST £5m for this plus a PPV take.

Carl will be getting very very well paid for taking this because if he wasn't he would NOT have taken the extremely dangerous and nothing to gain rematch

At a guess I would say after all is said and done Froch probably walks away with £3 million and Groves a £1million.
What did Haye gross against Audley? £3.5 tops?

Ummmmm
I don't recall Haye vs Harrison being at Wembley stadium in front of 85,000 people or having the interest in the UK (and especially around the world) that Froch vs Groves II does ...
Surely if Haye got £3.5 million then Froch will get MORE than that than LESS!
Fury was due to receive £5 million for his fight with Haye ... so I think we can assume Froch will be getting upwards of £7 or £8 million plus.
Obviously 50% is tax and 25% goes to his trainer and Hearn will get a cut too as his promoter?
But either way the only thing Haye has over Froch in comparison between these two fights was that he and Booth were the promoters, so Haye would have got 7.5% more of his overall purse.
But clearly, the bottom line is that the purse for a PPV at a sold Wembley Stadium is going to be a lot more than the purse for a PPV at the MEN vs Audley Harrison!

A lot of the figures banded about are bollocks. The £5million purse everybody quotes for the Fury/Haye fight is pure speculation.

Froch 3 Million + PPV percentage
Groves 1 Million + PPV percentage
Eddie Hearn loads of millions plus loads of PPV percentage

I made the comparison as it was a recent all British ppv showdown. Haye is well known for getting the very best out of a deal. Warren paid him just short of million for the Macarinelli fight. He probably had a better basic purse then froch will this time and got the lions share of the ppv.
Ok so froch may end up with slightly more than haye after this one but I doubt it would get past £4 million. This is a bigger event but an all British heavyweight world title fight drew in a lot of interest. Wonder how the numbers will compare.
Absolutely no way froch does "7-8 million" out of this. I think you haven't got a grasp of reality. Outside of Hatton against mayweather (which was a monster event both side of the Atlantic - over 1 million buys here and 900k in the us- of which Hatton did some stupid % of sky buys and Floyd only got us %) and Lennoxs massive paydays no British fighter has got close to that much.

The interest in this fight is massive; the amount of casuals I've seen post about it on facebook is the most I've seen in some time.
A lot of people I know (casuals) are either going to the fight or tried to get tickets.
I would imagine the PPV numbers will do well and Froch, Groves and most of all Fast Eddie, will make some very nice coin indeed.

Froch has got himself a cracking deal and subject to ppv sales he'll do very nicely thank you.
Groves is way way short of Carl but as the loser of the first fight he's also doing well.

Oi, you cut & pasting wanker
That was in response to someone saying they're getting £20 me saying what the split would be.

Of that I don't doubt - but £7m? I can't see it. £4m maybe?

Eddie Hearn mentioned on twitter a while back that Froch will be on close to double figures for the rematch but was obv meaning dollars
so the £4-5m purse sounds right
Groves also knock back an offer of just under £1m again this was on twitter etc, he then said that ne was happy with the deal as he would be getting much more than the 1st offer....so must be in the £1.5-2.5m range???

In other words: "I know, but I don't want you to know, but I want you to know that I know."

Last time it was Luke Blackledge, training for a dance show and his treadmill at home.
This time it's been Eubank Jnr, Anthony Fowler, Warren Baister etc plus a few others helping out. Staying up in digs all week, and for the first time a nutritionist and dietician alongside a sports psychologist.
Like night and day in comparison.
