Shame he couldn't land one decent punch on Ali in their real fight. Not one scratch or blemish on Ali's face. Shame he lost 13 rounds to 2 in one of the most one - sided points decisions in heavyweight history...shame he came up with so many excuses for his loss and didn't take it like a man.
Ali was at his best in this. He beat a very capable, huge fighter and beat him so absolutely. He also displayed some of the most amazing evasive moves ever in this fight. This Ali would NEVER have lost to Frazier..no way!

On Friday Afternoon ~ February 23, 1962 to be 'exact'.

Seems Ernie was staying to himself while sparring at the Fifth Street Gym.

Cassius came into the Gym with his usual group of {10 or so}, and they started needling Big Ernie
as he was in the Ring.

After about 15-Minutes of 'chirping', Ernie looked at Cassius and said >

"Well little boy, are you going to let your Group of Clowns do your talking for you, or are you going to
back it up and get up here in the Ring with me."
4 years went by ...Ali slaughtered him...

Cassius had come into the Fifth Street Gym with his Black Suit and Bow-Tie on. He looked 'Funny as Hell'.
Like some kind of young kid Minister with a bunch of Clowns following him.

I told him to take that silly looking suit off, and to get up in the Ring with me.

He paused, and acted like a typical kid who didn't want to fight because he had his 'good' clothes on.

It was F***ing Funny.
Almost as funny as the one where Ali apparrently put Terrell in a headlock and scraped his eye along the rope!!! That was a classic quote that! Hilarious. . Terrell's eye looked like a hamurger

Easy to display some of the "most amazing moves" when you're fighting a plodder like Terrell was.

Easy to go 15 rounds and look all graceful and such when you can screw around for 2/3rds of each round.

That version of Ali wasn't tough enough and mature enough to last 15 rounds with prime, buzz saw Frazier, who would keep coming and force him to fight three minutes a round.

Ali fought a bunch of cement shoe stiffs in his first title reign.

The few that weren't complete stiffs were either in the tank, or shot-up, hollow shell versions of their former selves, or better off in a chiropractor's office rather than a boxing ring, or way over the hill and grateful for a paycheck.

But you are simply not astute enough to grasp this.
