Terry Dunstan. It depends on what you deem as successfull, because there's loads of keyboard warriors on here that's never stuck a glove on with high expectations!!!

Success in my eyes is challenging for a British title. Its all relative though. Some seem to think that if you don't win a world title you were a failure! Winning a British title is a massive achievement in my opinion.

Matt Skelton?

Skelton had a great career.

When "officially" over 40 he was Commonwealth champ, won a Euro belt and challenged for the heavyweight title. Chances are he was probably well into his 40's at that stage!

Junior Witter is 40 and a win on Saturday should put him back in the mix for a British title.

I am not sure about that mate, but I do agree that a British Title is a massive achievement - although try telling the likes of Bellew and Smith that and they will react like you told them that had a half incher.

These days (just like all footballers are "legends") it seems that all boxers have to be "world class" and anything less is an insult.

By definition, world class should be reserved for those at the very top of their game.

Johnny was a few months short of his 39th birthday when he had what transpired to be his final fight.
Having said that he had a resounding points win over the ex Rugby League player Dean Sampson yesterday ! Not bad at 47.

I don't think Witter could afford to pack in. Nobody is going to want to fight/watch him go for the British again though.

I hope Witter does have success as he seems like a decent fella and he didnt really get the breaks he deserved in his prime because his style wasnt attractive enough for some.

I'm not. I'm sure you and his own circle would love to see it but in general, the public aren't hungry for another Witter fight. He's simply not fan friendly.
