Wonder what the seating capacity for boxing was in its heyday? Maybe 500?

1,500 according to a newspaper article from the 1940s I read years ago.

Found it last night but forgot to note where. Article said 1,100. Must have been a half-decent venue as the article mentioned movie stars like Cary Grant and Mae West often attended.
