I dont know if anyone has seen the video going around, however Adrien Broner pulled over his car (with his entourage filming the whole incident) and handed a homeless guy $1000. The video then instantly went onto the internet on twitter, facebook, various gossip sites, and numerous boxing forums.

I've just seen another video posted of the man who has now completely had his face smashed from being mugged for the money less than a couple of days later.

I would have posted this on the current scene but i dont value any of their opinions.

My initial thoughts are that Broner did it as a complete publicity stunt and then painted a target on the guys back by posting the footage all over the internet advertising that the poor homeless guy had a $1000 in his pocket.

Anyone got any views on this? The footage is below.

Yeah it was a completely contrived desperate act to win some sympathy back. Like you say posting the video of the man being handed the money was not very smart from the point of view of the homeless mans well being.

Bloke should have bought some self defence classes.

It's similar to the video of the. Cop who bought the homeless man shoes, - all on camera of course.

Yeah i agree he just didnt think of the consequences of advertising that someone had a $1000 in their pocket. If he was really doing it as a selfless gesture it wouldnt have been filmed an publicised.

Broner is one of those guys who has never had an original idea in his life. There are dozens of "Attention Seeking Twat Gives Homeless Man..." videos on YouTube, his is yet another.

it's not terribly smart is it? I thought Broner would have had at least some street smarts about him. I'm sure if he couldn't fight he wouldn't want people to know he was carrying a grand about. Maybe he just didn't think.
The person/ people who went out and hurt the guy, based on the seeing him on the net (if that is indeed how it happened) - well they want stoning or given a public flogging, personally.

Yeah, the real question is why was the guy looking at the video in the first place?

Think he was half way through doing the deed, before he realised it was his daughter?

The man was beaten and mugged afterwards for the money...
