I saw that in the Metro on the way to work the other day.

I didn't realise Khan and Froch had beef. Anybody know why? Khan was making it sound like Froch thought he was a bellend, but most people think Khan is a bellend. Is there anything more to it than that?

Khan has done many a disparaging interview against Froch.

He said Froch "lost to a nobody" in Kessler. And that he was on a joke channel whilst he was in demand by everyone.

Elsewhere he did a video interview with Boxing scene, saying Froch was just a hater because he sells more tickets than him. That he sells more tickets in Nottingham than he can.

But the clincher was Khan taking to The Sun calling for the Olympic bosses to sack Robert McCracken for not picking Haroon Khan (despite the fact Yafai was euro champion and Haroon could box his way out of regionals)

And you know why?

Cos Froch said he wasn't sure if he could come back from the Prescott stoppage. He said he looked like he'd been hit with a lump hammer, and that it might happen again if he has a suspect chin.

Also Murray and Thaxton were both calling Khan out, after he reckoned he 'schooled' Murray in sparring despite no such spar ever happening.

He saw all Hennessy fighters as the enemy. Whether that was a Warren thing or not too I don't know.

If Khan carried himself like has done in 2014, since he turned pro there wouldn't be a 'beef'.

But to be fair Khan had beaten Selby in the Commonwealths and I think that was Amir's argument.

Exactly. Khans words were backed up by his younger brother. And at the time, Khan had sold more in Nottingham, Carl was busy at the York Hall.

Let's be honest everyone will back their brother in such a situation, look at Froch's idiot of a brother, I also think Froch was wrong in the first place, when a fighter gets knocked out, the last thing he wants is another pro having a go, turned out he was wrong anyway as Khan went on to win world titles, at least Khan is showing some maturity in making a decision without bias, in picking Froch based on Froch's experience, he had a point about his brother, though I think McCracken was right in his decision, Both Selby and Yafai are better then Haroon, even though Haroon beat Selby on countback, one fight don't mean that much, Selby has been one of GB's most consistent performers and he beat Yafai in the box off.

Was it not when Froch said Khan should retire after Garcia stoppage. And Amir said similar after the last Groves fight?

Froch was on a joke channel to be fair, Primetime.

Amir buggered off to PrimeTime for a couple of fights too though, when Sky refused to make his fight a PPV.

He soon came back soon enough, when he realised that his fights were on PrimeTime were only attracting four people. And two of them were his parents.

It was the best thing since sliced bread when he was on it. So was ITV. Funnily enough, Sky too, and now SKY BOX OFFICE. Ps, missed BBC. He must be the most covered boxer ever by British media yet still is disliked...

The thing is, Khan is a propper fanny at times.

He seems to be upset that he's not as popular with the British public as Ricky Hatton was. At least Hatton seemed like a humble guy. Even if part of it was a PR act on his part, at least he came across well enough. That's why people liked it.

Amir Khan basically spends half his time saying how good he is, and the other half complaining that people don't like him. Remember when he accused the fans of racism. Yes Amir, if you like.

Yeah there used to be this Myth going around that Hennesy didn't give Froch enough publicity and had him boxing on Primtime. Mick had all his fights leading up to his first world title defence either on BBC, ITV or Sky. Not many British boxers have had that kind of exposure. Hardly Micks fault that the Super 6 happened at time when ITV had had enough of boxing. Not his fault. He still managed to get a broadcaster even though SKY at the time shut the door on him.

Was Carl Froch really on BBC? I don't really remember him being on that. I used to watch a lot of BBC bills at the time, just due to not having Sky Sports as a starving student.

I remember getting the awesome force of Audley, Danny Williams, Michael Sprott, David Haye's early fights, some of the Howard Eastman ones. I don't remember Froch being on the BBC.

I'm probably wrong though, I spent most of my time at university pissed.

I remember Froch on BBC. I also vaguely remember a cheesy animated comic-esque video the BBC had of Carl Froch and a Cobra in order to market him as 'The Cobra' ........ I doubt anyone remembers that!

Sky use a cobra head animation that looks like something from the old TV show Knightmare.
Knightmare ... now that's a blast from the past! I used to love that show

Incorrect.

This was before the commonwealths occurred.

Kal Yafai was going in the vest at the time, but an elbow injury saw Selby take his spot instead.

The facts are, Haroon couldn't win a regional qualifier - and yet because of his surname felt he should be chosen.

Do you agree with that?

NO, because nobody agrees with that. Whether he won a razor thin decision over the stand-in is wholly irrelevant.

Hatton was a normal bloke with normal issues, there was no act there.

The likes of Khan, Froch, Haye etc. are their own biggest fans or as I like to call them - big headed gobshites.

I've heard Froch's brother mentioned a few times. Is he cocky or something?
