Didn't Fry just lose in a 4 or 6 rounder?

Not that it makes much difference

Obviously made up for courtney but it's sad to see one the best fighters of the last 30 years drop to this level.

Contesting a belt with about as much value as something you can pick up in the ''george'' section of asda,in a part of the world with even less value than that, against an opponent who wouldn't have gone 2 rounds with him in his prime.

That's pretty random, I actually was fancying going to Latvia in summer for a few days or a week, so if this does happen I might combine it with that and watch this fight.

This feels like the sort of fight that doesn't happen.

Yes I would like to see it myself, Roy has only ever been defeated by former world champions so fry could be the first non former world champion to beat him, I think fry has been massive under achiever who was badly managed early on in his career

What a bizarre match up. Probably will end in a draw in a fairly mild contest.

If ever i've heard of a good reason for pay per view, that's it right there

Maybe get Hopkins vs Stephenson on the undercard

Oh dear me.

Fry lost his last to Nathan King a couple of weeks ago who has lost nearly twice as many as he has won (although to be fair he is better than his record suggests). Even a very jaded RJJ would handle him very very easily. I'm hoping it doesn't happen if I'm being honest.

Is it me or was Courtney Fry considered a very talented amateur who was at one time expected to do big things as a pro?

He won the ABA's at light heavy in 2001, he won a bronze at the Commonwealth Games and I think and went to the Olympics in 2000 but didn't medal. He won a stack of international medals.

Danny Green was never a world champion, neither was Lebadev

If it was just about the money, why did he not go for the Steve Collins fight.
It would have been a joke contest, but at least it would have generated some interest and funds for the taxman

He was a decent amateur but a bit of a flop internationally in the unpaid code.
