Jeff Chandler is hands down The Greatest WTF Champion of all time.

The history of that title is...

Wilfredo Vazquez - Week 6

Panama Al Brown - Weeks 7-9 (After Week 9 Panama Al dropped the title to challenge for a World Title) and in Week 13 he won the title again, dropping it after 1 week. Panama Al is the 2nd Greatest WTF Champion of all time.

Week 10 the title was vacant, and the two men who fought for it fough to a draw so it remained vacant

Guillermo Rigondeaux - Week 11 (Rigo dropped the title to challenge for a World Title in Week 12)

Kid Williams - Week 12

Jimmy Carruthers - Week 14

Rafael Marquez - Week 15

From there. Jeff Chandler took over. He was WTF Champ weeks 16-19 and then lost it to Kid Williams before winning it back in the rematch, and has remained Champ in weeks 21-24

Jeff Chandler is 5-1-3 in WTF Title fights, and has made 6 Title Defenses over 2 reigns.

Panama Al the 2nd Greatest WTF Champion, has only made 2 title defenses over 2 reigns, and is 3-0-1 in WTF Title Fights.

Nobody else is even close.

Be that as it may, it's still not enough to get included in this thread - this ia World Champions ONLY thread.

Looking over your WTF Title Lineage, it's not complete.

You've left out Panama Al Brown's second WTF victory.
He won it in Week 13 by beating Kid Williams by UD - then vacated it in Week 14 to fight Ruben Olivares for the IBF Title.
gilgamesh wrote:Nobody else is even close.
Well Chandler has won the WTF Title twice, but then again so has Kid Williams & Panama Al Brown. So it's a matter of debate.

Jeff Chandler is pure smoke and mirrors.

Not worthy of discussion. My fighters would have put them both out their misery at any time....however my fighters have never, not even once, been eligible for that diSTINKshun.

Why? Because NO GBP fighter has EVER been rated below #14.

I acknowledged that Panama Al regained the title in Week 13 when I brought him up the first time. I didn't find it necessary to mention it twice.

Kid Williams has won the title twice, and lost it in his first defense both times. He's 2-2 in WTF Title matches.

Panama Al has won it twice, and dropped it twice to challenge for World Titles. He made 2 defenses in his 1st reign and is 3-0-1 in WTF Title fights.

Jeff Chandler has won it twice, but he's held it down for 3 title defenses on both of those occasions. He's been in 9 WTF Title fights in a row.

He certainly has. I don't have time top update this list every week but I'll update it before the start of The Super Six (Week 35).

Wait....I thought a victory over Barry was nothing to crow about. Now it catapults one to the stratosphere?

yes....as well it should.

Here's to Chandler, owner of the hardest skull in the Sim. He really used his head in that fight!
