Glad to see he hasn't fallen off the Radar screen entriely.
The guy deserves to make a bit of money from the sport.

He's had a few little niggles, i recon Elcock will be beck to the topm of the tree the end of 2004.

Good to see that Elcock is hungry - he needs a few decent wins to get his confidence back but is still a big threat domestically IMO.

He will clean up domestically IMO if the matchmaking is right, The guy is so fit it's untrue and has look alot better since he's moved over to the lynch's gym in brum, all he has to do now is fight which is what he's good at.

Maybe the Murphy loss was just a freak. I think he's already come back and beaten the useful Zimbabwean Farai Musiiwa, which ain't bad form. And, yes, at his age, he needs to get busy.

I thing the Murphy loss made him realise that the sport is harsh and if you take your chances you can earn money if you f**k up you get nothing, wayne is the ultimate pro trains really hard all the time, and this year IMO you will see a far better fighter than the one that lost to murphy and beat farnell.

How did he look in that fight. It was quite a nasty KO to Murphy, with his head falling back through the ropes etc. Any signs of gun-shyness?

He looked cautious in the opening rounds of the six-rounder against Musiiwa in February, but by the later rounds trusted his chin enough to stand and trade. He never looked like stopping his man, but took the decision 59-57.
"The first few rounds I was pretty tentative," he admitted afterwards.
"But then I took a couple of his shots, and I realised that I could take his power.
"He was a very awkward customer. I’d been expecting to fight someone with a bit more of a come-forward style.
"I'd been doing a lot of sparring with Jimmy Vincent in the build up to the fight, so it was a bit strange to be fighting someone who stood off me a bit more.
"It definitely made me think, but I won quite comfortable."
