The boxers who fail to fight 'the best' or the Promoters ?....


I know it is a business - but in business -you have strive for and give a better service !

Who is killing our sport ?.

At some stage, the onus must fall on the fighter to force their promoters hand, a fighter with a name is a commodity, and ultimately, they are in a position of power, and can use leverage to make fights happen.

I think there is only so long you can blame a promoter for 'hoodwinking' or 'protecting' a figther, before you blame the fighter themselves.

Actually the people who pay good money to watch miss matches are the one's to blame.

I also think the TV companies need to start being mroe assertive as well, or at least get someone in control of the boxing that actually knows what he is doing.

Its the fighters, if they are not happy then they can always not renew their contract. You can blame certain promters, but they can deliver on occasions. Jason Rowland was supposed to fight Zab Juah (JW stepped in), Naseem essentially unified the devision, Francis and Bruno fought Tyson - all carried out by the promoter of Calzaghe and Hatton.
