I'm new to your site and really not sure if I'm on the right one. I'm trying to locate a guy who was in Viet Nam with my husband in 70-71, they were in the 4th Inf. His name is Richard Chapman from Miami, Fl. He was a 1972 Olympic Boxing Champion. We are planning a trip to Miami and my husband, Ernie Morris, would love to contact him. They use to box together in Nam. Any help would be so very appreciated.
Thank you

Bill, thanks for your reply. I'll look up the names you suggested on FB. He was in Viet Nam in 70-71 so I was guessing 72 for the Olympics. As far as we know he never went pro, just don't have a lot to go on. I'll keep looking, thanks for your help - really appreciate it!

Are you sure that the guy you are looking for is not Ricardo Carreras? He may have called himself Richard Chapman in the forces to sound a little more anglicised? Ricardo Carreras was in the USAF, boxed extensively whilst in the service and won a bronze medal in Munich '72.
