Rumoured on boxing banter fb page looks like sykes had to pull out and evans is in guessing for liams commonwealth title

Surely they can get a better replacement with over 5 weeks notice.

I've heard that Liam Walsh is looking to leave FW so whoever was going to be boxing Liam will be from his stable to hopefully get a win over Liam and keep the belt! Worse people than Craig Evans have had chances and he was a very good amateur. Liam looked like he might be struggling at the weight against Joe Murray too so maybe they have faith that Craig can get the win before Liam decides to jump ship.

12-0 1 draw not a bad record better than any European bums that normally comes in.

Walsh has been the Commonwealth champion for 3 years & 9 months, he should be fighting better guys than this.

I know where you are coming from but Warren will know he might be planning a move and will be looking to get one of his fighters that belt!! I'm not saying that it's right but that is how it works. If Mitchell Smith had a few more bouts my money would have been on him getting the shot but out of the rest of FW stable Craig Evans is his best chance of keeping the belt in house.

Mzonke Fana, Ben Jones, Joe Murray, Karim Chakim, Guillaume Frenois, Samir Kasmi, Andreas Evensen or someone else who has proven something as a pro.

Craig Evans hasn't done anything except beat low level journeymen.

His beat joe murray ben jones has gone off the radar dont know wats happenning with him. The others are all good fights I agree but its about business sense by warren. He wants that title in his stable. Its now came to light its wbo European title evans has accepted just waiting for walsh to agree. Think evans mate let slip abit early

The Joe Murray fight was very close and I'd be interested in a rematch.

The WBO European title is rubbish.

I think there is better fights that Craig Evans.. But let's be honest here Walsh struggles to make Super Feather no matter what he says.. Can't see Craig making it either is a fight for WBO European lightweight belt seems the best option. Plus when Walsh pulls out will be easy to make a fight with a European bum for Evans

i think Evans is an entertaining fighter, quick reflexes and keeps his hands by his side which makes for an entertaining style looks like he may lack power though.

I hear this fight isn't happening. Troy James offered it this morning but is injured. Surely Walsh will now fight Ronnie Clark for the commonwealth belt

I don't know or care about the amateurs. He's been a pro for over 4 years and he's done nothing.

Nothing between them?? It was a draw in Doncaster which Ronnie won.. Fight was also at lightweight. Maxi has never weighed the 9 stone 4lbs limit. Don't agree with what your saying Ronnie is proven at Super Feather and Maxi isn't yet.. Fight should of went to Troy or Ronnie. Troy is injured so Ronnie but hey this is boxing
