Jimmy seems to play down his early life pre being born again in interviews.
Which is honourable and understandable.
They certainly are contrasting lifestyles but if he is a bit more candid it will be a great read.
Let's hope he's been saving it for the book a life story of triumph over adversity is always the best kind of autobiography.
He has seen it all.

Hopefully it is warts and all but not glorified. Nothing clever or big in what his early life was all about. Fair play to him thou, he plays it down from what I've seen and seems a very different man these days. Good to see people turn it round.

not only did he turn a 7 into a 40, he'd only been out a jail a month or two from doing a 6 year sentence. instead of being feted he should be known as one of the biggest failures in criminal history, i've never understood why criminals are glamoureised here, i read frankie fraser book years ago, he spent 40 years in jail, his book is boring as hell, due to the fact he's got nothing to talk about, i put an axe in someones head, attacked a governor and refused to wear prison shoes, well done crack on, in the mean time the rest of us was shagging, drinking and getting on with it.
also i used to work with bronsons brother, but he never talked about him cant say i blame him.

I think a fair bit of it is that a hard nut gay fella will still get a load of grief (behind his back) but in prison they are surrounded by men and can do what they want. Some men prefer the close company of other men and prison is ideal for that - it's why they go out of their way to get sent down and then to get the sentence lengthened.

Yeah, the thing is though that a lot of those tough guy gangsters who do a lot of time would lose a lot of credibility in their circles. When I was young and stupid I was in prison for a couple of short spells and it wasn't my cup of tea; to some people though it is REALLY their cup of tea.

Yes, I know the sort, but they are backward. Bronson wasn't even a gangster, just an idiot. His whole myth has grown behind the wall. And he won't get much company in solitary.

You've a point mickey; I just think there's some sort of reason for their behaviour and sex is a powerful driver. There are people that write to them, send them things and visit them; some of the tutors are in thrall to them. Paul Sykes was another hard nutter in and out of jail and he used to bum young lads etc; I was in Hull (B Wing) when he was down the block but people knew what he was about - he'll not be the only one.
