Personally speaking as a fan of the Heavyweight Division, I am delighted that Wlad has too this fight on, he's fought a few bums recently, and quite frankly those guys didn't deserve to share the ring with him.

But this fight against Pulev is probably his most difficult fight out there (well maybe apart from Tyson Fury) but I'm just delighted to see this come off.

Pulev deserves the shot. Hopefully he can keep WKlit from draping himself on him like he did to Povetkin.

Btw, the HW Div is not nearly as bad as it was a few years back.

I agree. There is a lot of young/new talent in the division and plenty of new challengers for Wladimir.

I think Pulev will be able to make it interesting at times, but I still expect Wladimir to win. I think Pulev will likely last the distance though, and drop a Unanimous Decision...still it will be more competitive than most of Wladimir's bouts.

I could tell from his post in a different thread a second ago. I was just giving the Female Golf thing back to him, he used it against me. I didn't need it, so I let him have it back.

It's good to see Wlad is taking on his top contender- he will prove that he's still the top dog.
This will probably be another snoozefest, but at least Pulev belongs in the ring with Wlad. I just hope it's better than the Povetkin fight.

This. Win or lose, close or one sided doesn't matter in regards to this matchup. What does matter is Kubrat is the most deserving contender & has been for far too long as is. Wlad needs to fight Kubrat.

Or are you talking about The Ring's rankings, which have Pulev as the #1 contender and Wilder as the #8 contender? Or are you talking about the forum's rankings, which have Pulev as the #1 contender and Wilder as the #10 contender?

Fury is better than Pulev? You most definitely know nothing about boxing.

Bottom line is Wlad is so much better than ALL these guys everyone will just be considered a bum. It's the way it is for him.

Technically a vast majority of HWs are bums but there are a few exceptions like the Klit brothers, Pulev, Stiverne, Jennings, Fury, Takam and Wilder (although I'm somewhat on the fence about him until I see him with someone who is decent).

This will be a better fight for Wlad in a while, I'm looking forward to it.

Bum is a relative term. If one guy stands head and shoulders above the rest, the rest are considered bums. It's unfair really, but the average fan with a tad bit of history under their belt seems to treat the other dominant champs the same.

Pulev is a very very good Heavy, and should be Wlad's biggest threat since he started rebuilding after his last loss.

Outside of the clinching and arguably shady referees (admittedly I'm uninformed on that), Klitschko represents all that is good in boxing for me. He unifies at every opportunity - unless it meant fighting his brother - and he fights every mandatory, ducking no one. There is no star in the sport of boxing today whom I can say that about, besides Wladimir Klitschko.

Another overhyped European heavy destined to be just another forgotten victim of Klitschko.
He'll probably do a wee bit better than Leapai, though.

Still waiting on Wilder to begin clearing up this pathetic heavyweight mess.

He'll do way, way better than Leapai (hell he couldn't possibly do much worse). I think he'll be one of Wlad's toughest title defenses.

So far Wlad's toughest title defenses have been Tony Thompson and Calvin Brock. A lot of people tend to forget how good of a fight Brock put up against Wlad...hell I even forgot myself until I revisited that fight about a year or so ago.

Most of Wlad's title defenses have been cakewalks.
