Do you think Ricky will get the KO or Points, or can wee Dejan Zlaticanin bringing the pain and getting the KO?

This will be interesting as some folk think Burns is done at World Level, but i think he is still hungry. The fact hes moved his training camp and trainer to Tony Sims says a lot to me that he is obv looking to mean business .

I personally think Burns is finished at world level,he had a great run as a 2 weight champ and he made the upmost of his ability but in fear he's gonna struggle against top opposition

I dont know anything about Zlaticanin other than the fact that he's unbeaten but if he's got hunger and he's there to win i reckon he might have got Ricky at the right time

Zlaticanin is a southpaw as well.

No idea how good he is but Burns really needs a good performance. Really can't see how he can comeback from another defeat

Had a look at some footage of Zlaticanin on youtube. He looks strong and heavy handed, but he walks forward in straight lines and doesn't move his head enough. Neglects the right hand as well, bit left hand happy and he's far from slick, him being a southpaw won't be a problem for Burns. From the looks of things they've slowed him down since some of his earlier fights, where he looked like he was wasting energy, so he's more durable than he was, but that may have come at the expense of his defence, he's become flat footed and too much of a stationary target. He'll be a tough nut to crack and doesn't look to be the sort of fighter you should be going toe to toe with, although Burns is as fit as they come and big at the weight, but his defence is so poor that he'll get worn down and stopped late on IMO.

Burns needs to go back to his high tempo ways i think. Throwing plenty of shots and not lolling around near the ropes.

Burns should have had a tune up fight or even aimed at an EBU shot instead of going straight back in with an eliminator.

From what I've seen of Zlaticanin, that's basically what this fight is, he's not a complete pushover, but he's well ranked, probably cheap and shouldn't cause too many problems. They were always limited as to what they could do, it had to be a fight that's interesting enough for people to buy tickets and for Burns himself to get up for, without being too much of a risk, but also moving him into position for a world title shot. Zlaticanin is a decent fit for that.

well maybe , but folk would have still complained about it so the guy cant win either way

After this fight is over I will tell you whether Ricky Burns made the right choice or not.

But I do see punches being exchanged. Lots of them

burns wins this fight easy. i would wager that kev mitchell would take this guy out in less than six, so if burns is gettin quality sparring, and hes fit and focussed, it should be an easy nights work.

For a guy who is a 1-10 favorite Brits dont seem to have much faith in their guy. He is 1-10 because his opponent is nowhere near Crawford or Beltran. These are world class operators. Crawford is cream of the crop.

Very interesting specimen from an anthropological standpoint. Weigh in was instructive, as Dwyer likes to say. Have you noticed how thick set the guy was. His legs were twice thicker then Burns's. Like Leapai Klitschko. I have not seen him fight of course but I will be watching to see what he can deliver.

im begining to think that the rickster is coming to the end of the road. zlatican was a good little fighter , but hes not gonna trouble the likes of crawford. burns had a good run, made the most of his fantastic conditioning and drive , but i feel that his days up at the top have gone now.

Ricky is done. The wee man got the very most out of his talent, but the desire to rise above isn't there any more.
