I see Luke Campbell fights on the Scouse bill in 2 weeks. Good to see him back although I do hope he's 100% focused.

I'm not aware of Mitch Buckland, Kavanagh or Scott Jenkins

Seems more prospects on there than established domestic lightweights

Burns , Mitchell and Crolla purely on the level there at the now

a few in there ive not heard of to be honest

Ricky still best lightweight in Britain for me even after last nights Defeat

Mitchell and Crolla are streets ahead of the rest. Campbell even at this stage would beat the rest of them

Ive went with Crolla although Burns probably should still be first choice on merit,who knows,Zlaticanin might be one of those crude fighters who goes on to win a portion of a world title,i doubt it but just look at Gradovich,Bika,Soliman etc

But on form id go with Crolla,he seems to be improving with each fight and i think him and Mitchell would be great

Scott Jenkins? Jamie Kavanagh? As well as Mitch Buckland imo are nowhere near his level.

Not won anything of note compared to him.

I did try to put a load more names (including Gethrin) but it only allowed ten so I put down the current best & the best of the future.

And you're right, they've not yet won anything compared to him. But they'll both go on to have better careers than him. He was a decent fighter but he's on the decline now and not worthy of this list.

As I said just above, it narrowed it down to ten. Gary is the better at this stage but he's not going to be the best in the UK ever whereas Mitch has a chance.

Bold statement I think saying they will hav better careers gethin 2 time english champ british champ ibf international champ and fought a final eliminator for a world title. Not a bad career and he ay finished yet

Think you shouldve either decided top ten current best lightweights or top ten lightweight prospects cos at the minute you've got some of either but missing a lot.

I'm willing to wager you now that neither Jenkins or M Buckland will have better careers (as said below x2 English, British and IBF international - not bad at all.

I still dont fully rate Crolla myself. I'd still fancy Mitchell and Burns if he has anything left to beat him.

Flanigan is the best lightweight in the uk Followed by Burns then Mitchell.

Campbell will beat Crolla. He's made for him.

Ormond worth a shout on the list... i know he's Irish ? he beat derry quite convincingly if i remember, something Crolla/Gethin/Coyle couldn't do.

Wouldn't argue at Crolla's inclusion over Terry or Mitchell to be honest.

Campbell has done nothing yet, and needs a sizeable step up, maybe even to an applebey type standard.

People underestimate how good these Olympic and European champions are. The first 10 fights or so are a massive backwards step from the opponents they have been fighting.
