Uppercut Magazine, slight change - any ideas.

Due to a quick search from myself, it turns out that there is an American west-coast Magazine called, yes you guessed it UPPERCUT. Not only that but they have the rights to the website too, so it looks like we have to make a last minute change.
My suggestions of 'The Hook', 'Hooked', 'Hooked on boxing' and 'The pugilist' have not been well received.
Anyone got any ideas on how to bail us out?

Not that it helps, but one of the funniest things ever, IMO, was when Viz were taken to court and ordered not to call their mag 'Viz Comic'.
Next issue came out, it was called 'Viz Bomic'.

Lewis got the Sweet Science a recognised name for boxing
"Sweet Science monthly"?
or
"Laced Up"
or
"Touch Gloves"
or
"On The Ropes"
There must be loads of applicable ones.

If it's a crossover/style mag, then Ali has surely crossed over and become a style icon like no other boxer. How about calling the mag:
Float...

Thanks a lot for the help lads, this is a right mare, having to change the title 12 days before launch is less than ideal, thing is prior to this there was no presence on the web who was appearing on search engines.

Why not get Hauser involved? He might not mind you using the name in a magazine concept. He lives over at secondsout.

Think it was Ali who came up with that, to describe the feeling of getting knocked out.

It is probably owned by the publisher, not Thomas himself. I would also rather have something not used already.

I know I suggested on the ropes nearer the top of this thread, but on second thoughts that is not going to encourage investors is it?
