Carmine Vingo No Giant

I'm looking at a photo of Rocky Marciano shaking hands with Carmine Vingo. From the tux that Rocky's wearing I'd guess it may have been taken at Marciano's wedding. According to most sources Vingo was 6'4" tall. Rocky was only 5' 10 1/2". The two guys in this photo are practically eye to eye. Unless Vingo is sitting down or Rocky is standing on a box, there's no way Vingo is 6 inches taller.
What gives?

I think you are correct.
Brooklyn Daily Eagle {1948}
Jackie Levine {Manager for Carmine Vingo}
When told, that his fighter was not big enough for the Heavyweight Division.
Jackie Levine, stated that his 18 year-old fighter was still a growing boy, and was over 6' 0" and weighed 190 lbs.
The Manager added, that Carmine would eventually grow to 6' 4" and 215 lbs.
In the fight film against Rocky Marciano, 20 year-old Carmine looked to be about 6' 1".

In any case, Vingo being tall or not says nothing to me about Marciano being able to beat a Klitschko. Vingo never beat anyone with a pulse. And if he was 6'4, he would've been pretty skinny at 189 lbs anyway.

Rocky Marciano vs. Carmine Vingo
The bout was labeled a toss-up when the fight was announced.
The odds moved to {7-to-5} for Rocky 2-Days before the bout.
Carmine {back to photo} was definitely taller than Rocky, but by how much.

I and my dad saw this bout in MSG in 1949. A brutal beating Carmine Vingo suffered from the
hands of the much shorter Marciano...In the first round I recall Carmine hit Rocky with a right uppercut and almost lifted Marciano off the floor, but Marciano amazingly shook the punch off
and proceeded to batter the taller Vingo. In the 6th round Vingo was floored from the club
like punches ,falling unconscious on the canvas...I remember til this day Vingo's foot twitching
violently.Vingo was carried by a stretcher to a local hospital where he barely survived, but
after a few months was able to move about somewhat.
I am sure that Vingo [whom I watched before on my 12" TV] was about 6ft' 2".and was much
heavier than the 180lb. Marciano.
