Good fight for Elcock. Lockett is there to be taken.

Elcock could box him for 12 rounds, no probs.

But Lockett's got a bangers chance with Elcock. I know Lawrence Murphy caught Elcock cold, but I'm sure Gary punches much harder than him or Tsrenko who had Elcock in bother too.

I was hoping for Lockett against Farnell, but can't see allegedly letting Farnell get another loss on his grossly inflated record.

These two are good mates. It's a shame they have to go through each other to get a crack at Farnell.

Elcock, although a former 'world champ' has to STILL be classed as a relative novice.
Lockett has more experience behind him, better power, boxed at a slightly higher level (seeing as Farnell is the best Elcock has faced) and so I'd say his chance is more than that of a 'bangers chance'.

I'd slightly favour Lockett. He is capable of a higher level than Elcock (if he gets his act together).

As for them having to square off to face Farnell, I agree, it is a shame. But Farnell has earnt that right because he did what Elcock couldn't. He took his chance and I give him credit for that. Farnell has never impressed with his 'skills', but I have warmed to him slightly because of the effort he puts in.

It's a fairly even match, IMO. I agree with those who say that Elcock can outbox Lockett, but i also agree with those who say that Lockett could stop Elcock. I'd love to be able to sit on the fence, but i just can't do it.
Lockett to stop Elcock fairly early. I think he'll have too much of a dig, and he needs a big performance so i expect him to go looking for the KO straight away.

This one will be a great fight, both nice people who don't slag each other off or anyone else for that matter, the event should be at newport or where macranelli is fighting, i think once Elcock starts to tee off with the jab lockett will mark up, lockett has a punchers chance but will IMO struggle to make the weight, in his last few fights he's been way over on weight and has admitted he struggles, Elcock makes the weight ok and is strong at it and is super fit, admittedly he got caught cold by murphy but he can take a shot just note a temple shot

Lockett for me. Knockout punch in either hand facing a guy with a glass chin. C'mon the Rocket!

Cheers. Cardiff was a good night out for Calzaghe in June, but I've been to a couple of amateur shows in Newport and I can't say spending a Saturday night there as part of my holiday is terribly appealing. Looks like I'll be propping up a bar watching it on the box instead!

Sorry, should have said February for Calzaghe, not June.

I'll go for Lockett in this one who just seemed to have turned the corner a little last time out after some desperate performances.

I believe Lockett's squeezing in a warm-up on the Hatton bill. That's important for him.

If lockett doesnt get elcock out early, elcock will get lockett late
