Brook v Porter Confirmed - Aug 16

Eddie Hearn has tweeted that Brook v Porter has been confirmed for August 16 in California. Coming around sooner than I was expecting, really hope it comes off!
Yeah location is a bit strange, I wondered if it was due to Ward making a comeback but doesn't look like it.jameswilson wrote:Quite a lot sooner than expected, and not in the location I was expecting either.
Why do you think this? I'm not being funny, I just haven't seen much of Porter other than a few highlights clips - what does he do that will give Brook so much trouble?BAP1 wrote:Porter is going to give Brook the biggest beating of his life.

In terms of power mate.BAP1 wrote:DMA1987 wrote:I genuinely think Brook will stop Porter. Kell isn't Malignaggi or Alexander. He can hit. Hard. I just don't see Porter beasting it against him, he could get timed all night.
You always back Kell and that's fine but you make it out like he is some killer in the ring. Who has kell ever beat to suggest that "kell isn't malignaggi or Alexander"
how dare you.......show some respect to former legitimate world champions. Combined they have fought Top opposition Cotto, Hatton, Bradley, Lucas matthyesse, khan Maidana!!!!
you think Porter's that good? He'll need to be if he's going to do as you say....If "Roll right over" means "hit him very hard and that's that"...then it doesn't always work out that way. Ask Jeff Lacy.Tuan_Jim wrote:This should bring an end to the Brit forums bizarre fixation with Brook. Porter will roll right over him.
No offence mate, but how can you make any kind of suggestion if you've never even seen Porter fight? You should probably go to youtube & watch a few of his recent fights before making any kind of assessment on how the Brook fight will go.magwitch wrote:you think Porter's that good? I haven't seen Porter so I can't say mate, I'm gonna suggest it's gonna be closer than that
no offence taken......Brook's a solid, competent operator with a solid shots in his own repertoire. I don't see it being a one-sided blast out. I'll check out Porter but my opinion is still valid. He's getting in their against another man, not a heavy bag.Boxerbeetle123 wrote:No offence mate, but how can you make any kind of suggestion if you've never even seen Porter fight? No doubt Brook is competent, but so were Bellew & Cleverly until they ran into Stephenson & Kovalev...this is a similar situation with a British boxer stepping up to genuine world level for the first time, hope it goes better for Brook than it did for our light-heavies, but I can't really see it.magwitch wrote:no offence taken......Brook's a solid, competent operator with a solid shots in his own repertoire. Was this fight put back, after the original Brook-Porter thread of a few weeks ago?
