Does anyone know hows Frank doing these days? It been a year since he promoted his last show at the Echo Arena. I would like to see him back as a tv pundit he was pretty funny when he was with Bunce in the studio.

He retired back in October 2013. Said he had fallen out of love with the sport. Although I suspect multiple heart problems and Price getting knocked out twice didn't exactly help.

Last i heard was that he was working as a Christmas Elf in a department store grotto.

Always pleasant and approachable , but Sutherland report left a sour taste and rightly or wrongly exposed the very dark side of the sport

Spoke to him at a Huddersfield show about all things boxing & Frank was generous with his time even though he was promoting the show.
A decent man from my experience with him.

I have no doubt that outside the extreme pressures of boxing, Frank is probably a fairly affable individual.

However, having had experience of him within boxing, I certainly would not say he is a gentleman.

I am sure someone will correct me if i am wrong, but I believe he said something not quite right to antagonise Colin Dunne at some boxing dinner that led to a scuffle.

As a Person he is a Good Man and I hope he's doing good.

I'd say the Majoity of people has has dealt with him through Boxing (when Money is involved) wouldn't say he is a Gentelman but at the end of the day he is a Business Man and he Will always Come first..

im not a Maloney fan...infact some of the little bits I have heard about him from people over the years make him sound like a right vicious little fcker..never meet him personally though so maybe im being unfair.

The situation I have described, which may well be one of many, had nothing to do with money, and was based on completely ungentlemanly behaviour.

I may not be popular in pointing someone's shortcomings but this particular situation was wrong and in the public glare.

That mixed in with my own sour experience with him proves a saint he ain't.

I heard he allegedly tried to use some alleged dirty little tricks against Haye & Booth to try and scupper them when they went off on their own to Setanta due to his bitterness that left him after the Mormeck fight..

Presumably Maloney vowed to destroy Setanta ? He got there in the end

I'm sure Frank isn't a saint, but frankly who is. We all have our moments where we do things we shouldn't, some more than others. I've only ever met him once, he seemed ok to me, I'm sure there's others here with good and bad experiences.

What I will say is he was definitely in love with the sport, and worked hard to promote good shows.

As they say - all Promoters piss in the same pot.
He's no better or worse than the rest of em.

If it was said in an inquest or court, it is covered by privilege, so you can report anything they say, true or false.
