What if Lennox had lost the Rahman rematch? Would he have retired? Would Tyson have gone on to beat Rahman?.........

Lennox would have retired.... legacy deeply hurt

Vitali Klitscko would have destroyed Rahman in 2002 or 2003

He might have fought on for a lot longer than he did; hard to say really.

As for Rahman -v- Tyson: Tyson wouldn't have had a prayer against Rahman in 2001/2.

Tyson had nothing left of note & could not have beaten a live opponent at that time.

For starters, it would have taken a lucky punch to have beaten Lennox in that fight - he was clearly the better fighter and this time was focused and on top form. Had that lucky punch happened...

No, Lewis wouldn't have retired, he wouldn't have felt that his legacy (which was very important to him) was secure and may well have fought on for a while longer.

No, I think Rahman would have beaten Tyson in 2002, though it wouldn't be the one-sided beatdown that we saw against Lewis, but I think Rahman either takes a clear decision or stops Tyson late.

...i don't understand the question. if he had lost the rematch rahman would still have been the heavyweight champion. obvious. maybe there was a typo.
