Yep all over for me, been a hell of a ride, just feels the right time to go, went out how I'd have liked to, in a fight were I gave my all, thank you boxrec for the fantastic support over the years, no come backs this time, I came in, ruffled a few feathers and won the British title against all the odds, nothing more for me to prove to myself, did it for my dad, mission accomplished x

Its an overused saying "living the dream" but by god Curtis you have had certain parts of your life that really have been every boy's dream. Professional footballer and then British boxing champ, its an incredible story mate and your dad would be enormously proud of you, as you should be of yourself.
Well done and I just know there will something else in the back of your mind that you are already thinking about, whatever it is the very best of luck.
A true sportsmen.

Top top man Curtis.
Was at the Hamilton fight, not going to lie I didn't think you were going to win but you fought out of your skin and the announcement of the result was definately one of the best live boxing moments I've seen.
All the best in retirement and really look forward to the book.

Like I said on twitter after the Limond fight Curtis, most people only dream of fulfilling ONE of their major goals in life, you've gone and done two. Massive respect!
Hope you stay involved in the game in some way and keep posting on here etc.

I'd have liked Woodhouse to have carried on as he's still the No. 2 domestically, but he's had a good career and this isn't the worst way to leave things.
Have a good retirement, Mr. Woodhouse.

What do you think he's just done my friend ?
He won the title but came up a little short against Limond.

Well I know but, is it three more wins to keep the belt? It used to be 3 total wins but I think now it's four. There are other wins to be had

Curtis has gone out pretty much at the top. If he carried on he would just fade away into a former British champ who gradually got beaten by worse and worse opposition.
Curtis has picked the right time for him and his family. He will now go onto try and achieve different dreams. Who would back against him getting them?
Good luck to him...and I hope he isn't lost to boxing completely

I don't know Curtis, but know the area he grew up in and what he achieved. Absolutely unbelievable achievement for him to have even held the Lonsdale belt after a successful football career.
