I would to see him in with any of those names but he won't fight anyone like that at this stage if at any stage, it will probably be another defence of his WBFlipping useless title against a has been or never was...ooh i'm bitter

I wonder if Reggie Strickland is available? His fight of a couple weeks ago vs. the Harlem Hammer was at light-heavyweight, so it wouldn't be that big a leap for him to go to heavyweight.

Damn, he sounds pretty good, this Strickland fellow. I think Audley needs some more maturing ("ripening" sounds a tad too fruity) before taking on anyone that good, methinks. ;)

where as we all know Audley is more likely to fight a Harlem Globetrotter after all hes fought a basketball player before remember!

As much as I like Audley, I feel so frustrated at his lack of competitive opponents.

I honestly belive he'd beat 3 out the 4 World Champions tomorrow, that's IBF Champ Chris Byrd, WBO Champ Lamon Brewster and of course WBA Champ John Ruiz.

Audley is so big and has fast hands and a great jab and comes into the ring nowadays in great conditioning, WHAT'S HE AFRAID OFF?

The only 2 boxer's who could beat him even at this are Vitali Klitschko and Mike Tyson(as long as he's over 50% mental and Physically focused)

He's gotta start fighting big punchers as well, better to test your chin now than when it counts fighting for a world title!

True, but does Harrison care? He's not a live opponent so he fits the bill?

What about the Italian teletubby he beat in the Olympics. He's already lost a few in the pros. At least Harrison could rightfully claim he has beaten an Olympic silver medalist in his 14th fight.

I hope not Bennie, this guy is a tough fighter but a limited journeyman who thows wild hooks from stupid angles and is raw as they come. I saw him fight another "Prospect" in Canadian tub of lard Patrice L'Hereux on Eurosport and it was a dire four rounds points draw. This would be a terrible fight for Harrison...but Bennie it is a definite possibility

I think a big name for Audley at this stage of his career is unrealistic. And, let's face it, what big name is going to challenge for a WBF title?

Don't get me wrong Bennie i don't dispute your choice i just think it would be a bad matchup if it is indeed made.

It's good that someone has seen him fight, Steve. I respect your judgement. The only reason I picked out Chapman is because Harrison sparred with him in Vegas in training for the Francis fight. Harrison said after the Francis fight, he could bring an American in for his next fight. It must be someone fairly close to his camp.

A previous sparring partner Vaughn Bean or too live?

Interesting he mentioned Virchis and Nielsen or some other top European opponents turned him down for the Popov/Francis fight. Perhaps they would not now after the recent performance?

Thats a backward step to far IMO, I would rather Audley fight Lee Chapman.

Too true, if this is indeed true (and i have no reason to disbelieve you guys) that Audley was sparring Chapman for the Francis fight then that is an absolute joke. No disrespect to Willy but he is a journeyman who neglects getting into reasonable shape and is merely an "opponent". For a gold medal winner who constantly tells us he is he is serious about his career path to be using him in preperation for a 15th or so pro fight is just laughable...i'm stunned Vaughn Bean was acceptable but Willy Chapman :( Gosh that's terrible.

When Audley was preparing for Popov (Julius came in after Aud had completed his training camp in the US) he was with Thell Torrence in the States and he had 3 main sparring partners, Vaughan Bean, Duncan Dokiwari and Friday Ahunaya. These guys have nearly 100fights between them and only 7 defeats. These are the guys that Audley was sparring with. Seriously I would have thought that Aud pays something like 30grand for his training camps with Thell and I dont think Aud is the kind of guy who would waste his money on naff sparring partners.
