Well it's early days but there are some very promising signs. He's a great athlete, well conditioned, seems to have good knockout power and is currently very active. He is also the same height as current champ wladimir klitschko, which certainly doesn't hurt.

How far does everyone think goes? I think he might make it to the very top if he times it right, as the current champ surely can't do this forever.

He has a lot of potential and I thought he did well to get rid of Skelton in the manner he did. But, last night he didn't face the Skelton who fought for titles and probably not even the version that beat up Dallas. Perhaps a Sexton or McDermott next would be help show how he is developing.

He will be fighting yaroslov zavorotnyi on august 30, good test because the ukranian is durable with a good KO %

He has power and good athleticism but just like with Deontay I won't be impressed until he shows he can handle some adversity. Although his level of comp is already better than Deontay's after 25 fights . . . .

In earlier days he would be matched up with another young prospect like Gerald Washington. That's a fight I'd like to see.

Matching him against Sprott in November is pretty aggressive matchmaking. Also, matching him against the durable Zavorotnyi next, his handlers clearly aren't trying to pad his KO%.

He's athletic, and he has a good jab. He's good at fighting tall.

I think he'll be champion one day.

I support that. You need to step up and take little risks. Otherwise you stagnate.

Anthony Joshua and Joe Parker are in a class by themselves regarding Young Gun Heavyweights.

His next opponent is Zavorotnyi, who took Pulev and Price the distance.

Joshua needs to fight someone who will give him rounds, and Zavorotnyi should do it.

I think they should have Hughie Fury and Joshua fight on the same card, setting up a fight between the two to determine the best British HW.

Hughie, like his cousin, tends to keep his left hand low. I could see Joshua catching him with a big right hand and knocking him out.

I actually think a loss like that would be good for Hughie. It would make him work on his defense.

I like Wilder but Golden Boy over protects. Wilder and Ortiz fight nobody. If you don't know who I mean by Ortiz there's a reason.

Joshua seems to be loosening up a little, and not looking quite so robotic. But then again, it was against a 47 yr old guy that had not fought in 16 months. He is there to hit too, which means he isn't ready for even someone like Wilder yet.

I have concerns they are moving him in the same direction and he is not developing the skills he will need when the going gets tougher.

he punches harder and appears to have better technical fundamentals at this point.

Hughie has huge potential at his age but Joshua is looking the better pro when comparing the two as potential domestic rivals.

He looks promising, but I feel he's already overrated. He's big, seems to have good power and physical strength, picks his punches well, and can handle himself fairly well from various ranges. However, he's also stiff, a bit lumbering on his feet, has no more than average speed imo, and his stamina and chin haven't been tested yet as pro.

I think of lot of people are basing their lofty predictions of success on his amateur career and not anything he's done professionally--which I understand given that his amateur success suggests a high level of ability--but we all know that being a top amateur doesn't mean one will become an elite pro.
