It's a shame he retired whilst preparing for his light-heavy debut v Clinton Woods. I imagine he would have been outpointed, but I remember looking fwd to the match up.

It's a shame you're wrong. It was Crawford Ashley... Clinton stepped in and won. And he'd already boxed at light heavy! It's a shame the knowledge on this forum is going down the pan...

When was he not fit? You have no idea of the build up to the Ashley bout, they trained a few hundred yards apart. All of Leeds were talking about it for years. The grudge still goes on, on Crawfords side...

I got the impression was losing interest, hence the retirement. I said fit because I suspect if he'd gone through with the fight he probably would have made a soft-looking light-heavy lacking a bit of fitness.

It won't be a best seller, but will do a good few in Yorkshire.

I don't make any catty remarks, only facts, Henry is a close friend. It was well documented what happened in Florida.
