Napoles is one of my favorite fighters but I think Hearns was all wrong for him and could outbox Napoles , knock him out or win on cuts stoppage.

The great Mantequilla was already past his very best when he won the world title. That would not be enough against the great Hitman

No, Napoles was just peaking at 29 when he won the title. His prime was in his early 30s, up to age 33.

You got to be kidding me. The great Jose "Mantequilla" Napoles of the 1960s was ducked by the top contenders and world champions of the time from lightweight all the way to welterweight. What we saw of Napoles in the 70s was just the residues of his former self. Mantequilla to me is a top 50 ATG.

Hearns destroys Napoles just like Pipino in 2

Hearns by close ud, 9-6, or 8-7. If Jose could take away Tommy's jab, he would win.

With Napoles' low guard and Hearn's range and handspeed, Mantequilla is open for a monster over hand right.
