Whilst I am obviously both thrilled & engorged by Raymi's latest world-shattering triumph, I am somewhat confused. Why is a fighter who (allegedly) weighs a stone more than him--& who couldn't draw flies--on his shitlist, I mean, hitlist?

Could it be that his weights are somehow knobbled, & this excellent fighting machine is, in reality, a near-featherweight beating on strawweights?

After due consideration, I have decided that he's actually throwing down the gauntlet to Rigondeaux because the Cuban is the biggest challenge available to him, & he wants to give the world a fighting chance at seeing Raymi at his absolute best.

Reality check needed here think.
He is 39 yes old and he has stopped 21 out of 21 no one's in comparison to Rigondeaux.
Says his home country is against him and he is a cane like figure on a mission to teach the boxing world how body shots are where it's at for no money.
My guess is he is on a state funded mission to improve the profile of the Yemen.
With a view to emulating pacman's god like political and celebrity status.
Which brings many millions to the coffers of the government sheds a positive light on the country and diverts world attention from the many wrongs of the Philippino regime.
Yemen could really do with some of that action fast track this man to the top and get him on a jet plane.

Scoring a load of knockouts over poor opposition isn't the mark of a great fighter. Anyone remember Tyrone Brunson? The guy completely fell apart as soon as he faced someone who wasn't a walking corpse and could fight back.

Realistically, what could Rigo bring to worry Raymi?

Ok, he may have won 2 Olympic golds, 2 Worlds golds, numerous cuban national championships, convincingly beaten one of the premier fighters in the lower weight divisions (Donaire). Won most of his 400 or so fights...

...but could he cope with Raymi?
