Who takes it?I think EMM would stop Calzaghe in midrounds.

Muhammad could get too comfortable at times and look lazy . If he does Calzaghe can outbox him but at both of their best I can see Eddie giving Calzaghe that same body attack he gave to Marvin Johnson and slowing him down and eventually stopping Calzaghe late.

I'd take Eddie by TKO10. Too strong, too skilled and more than enough power.

A man who has never been beaten, can not be beaten....it's a statistical fact.

In the history of the sport, no unbeaten fighter has ever been beaten.

If Calzage and Ottke (Or even Valero) were to have ever met......the Universe which we have grown so fond of, would cease to exist, due to the unimaginable amount of dark matter that would be released into the cosmos.

I doubt it BuzzBox... Not that significant a fight... But maybe you would cease traipsing through moonbeams and finally land on planet Earth.

If Calzaghe simply fought a prime Roy Jones it might have moved the needle for him a little bit.. He did fight a 31-year-old Chris Eubank Sr.. Big deal.

So your money is on Fast Eddie?

Hey wait a minute hold the phone...are you saying Chris Eubank was old at 31?

NOPE!!! Chris Sr was young at 31 and obviously Calz was too quick for him. So he should have gone on to fight Roy Jones, James Toney, and a long list of prime timers who could box and punch -- instead of the 2nd and 3rd raters he fought... His deal was keeping his undefeated and untied record... Muhammad would be a problematic fight for him, but probably a winnable one.. But if he didn't want to fight Chad Dawson, I don't see him fighting Eddie.

Eubank was not a young 31 at 168lbs. He always had well documented struggles making the weight, and he came in for the Calzaghe fight at short notice. Tellingly he never fought at 168 again and fought at cruiser next, and looked carved in stone and ripped at the weight, showing how difficult he must have found it to make 168. His skin was grey like an old plastic bag when he weighed in he looked terrible

Calzaghe on the other hand ended up going into that fight too light having got the weight wrong and burned too much nervous energy after the weigh in.

golden oldie wrote:Yeah, yeah, in 1997 Calzaghe should have gone begging cap in hand to America, taking the short end of the purse for a fight at 175 against Jones Jr, then gone straight in with Toney who by that time was already fighting at CRUISER. And on and on the same shite goes. YAWN YAWN YAWN.

Wrong side of the bed yet again oldie?

Because of same day weigh-ins etc there would not be as much a difference in size as we might first think.

At light heavy, I would give a slight edge to Mustafa Muhammad. Would have been an interesting fight.
