Nobody is too tough for Beterbiev. He can be outboxed, but not outslugged. If he has enough time for preparation, Cloud goes down.

Cloud is one of those tired, slightly burned out former champions. I think effectively he is just a good journeyman now.

Beterbiev beat pretty much everyone in the amateur ranks.

But this is the pros. So who knows.

The main concern should be stamina since he's never pass 4 rounds.

Beterbiev has problems with lefties so shouldn't be a problem although he looked pretty bad in his last fight

He did not look bad in his last fight. Just took his time to KO a pretty durable journeyman who was covered up the whole time.

He was puzzled by a VEY simple shell defense, the guy leaned on the ropes, not moving... i was expecting Beterbiev to quickly find answers with all the background he has. He looked disapointing imo considering the opponent.

Lol i think he's a bit better than a journeyman even if he's not a top fighter anymore.

... or he just wasn't too motivated having an opponent like that

You must be a fan

For a prospect with Bertebiev's background, that's a very average performance, no excuses

No, I will need to see him against somebody who can fight back, before I become a fan. The performance was in fact average, but it wasn't bad. We know so many cases when even top level boxers don't prepare that well and don't fight that well when being matched with significantly weaker opposition.

for a guy with only four fights I find this to be a big, almost dangerous step up in competition. Some will say that cloud is only a journeyman at this point... Lets not forget that the only 2 losses that he has on his record are b hop and Adonis. That's nothing to be ashamed of. The campillo fight was bad, but he still got he decision.

Yep, this time, Beterbiev will need to train well and fight his best.

French but it is confirme the date is the same and Cloud agreed to face Beterbiev instead of Pascal
TVA Sport has good connection to the promoters up here.

It's signed and official for September 27, according to Philippe St-Martin.

Lomachenko aside, when was the last time a fighter boxed someone like Cloud in their 5th bout?

Cloud may be past his best (or perhaps his recent showings are just a product of tougher opposition), but he still seems like a tough opponent for a pro novice.

Maybe Rigo

I am sure there were quite a few, but almost all of them lost. The question is who aside of Lomachenko and Rigo defeated an opponent of Cloud's level in a fifth fight.
