Northern Quarter is very busy these days (well, I mean the last time I went was 4 years ago, but in comparison to 10 years ago, you could hardly move).
There's a nice bar at Jackson's Wharf near Piccadilly. Loads of room outside by the canal, good if the sun's out.
There's a good few bars in the Castlefield area, too. Seating by the canal side.

It's all personal preference of course, but the last place I'd go would be the Printworks or the majority of bars in Deansgate.

Deansgate & the Printworks maybe a bit shit but they are close & a decent place to have a meal before the fight.

Printworks isn't 'fashionable'... but the slut count is high & its across the road

Manchester has a really good nightlife

Dukes should be good if you go early enough and the suns out.. they usually have a BBQ & lots of decent birds to perve on

Is that where that Waxy O'Connors is, next to Victoria station? Good pint of Guinness in there when I went.

Duke 92 is always a great spot when the sun is out.

Nowhere is a mission to get to in Manchester, which makes it the perfect spot in UK for a big fight night.

As identikit Irish pubs goes, Waxy’s aint bad. But the best pint of Guinness in the city is Mulligans (off Deansgate). Into San Carlo for some decent quality grub, round the corner for a few un Mulligans and then off to a fight at the MEN (Phones4U) then mop up in Mojos later – that’s my kind out night!

I had about half an hour to kill before catching a train to Blackpool. Had wanted to go to Mulligans, but it was a football night.
