I've never read an interview or saw one where the man has said anything disrespectfull or bad?! Where does the hate come from?
I'd describe him as serious/obsessed/geek/thinker which are the ingredients you want your trainer to have!!!

Agree with this he gets his fighters super fit devises good game plans and you rarely see one of his stable in a bad fight.
Yes he self promotes but he is good at his job and helps others be good at their's so where's the harm?

Even my mrs once asked, why does that trainer do as much interview as the fighter but no others do?
Valid question if you ask me

Maybe because he cares about his fighters and wants to promote them the best he can ?

Brendan Ingle wasn't a shy and retiring type in front of a camera either.

Maybe he is a bit of a media whore but if I was putting the graft in with the fighters was as knowledgeable about the fight game as he is and someone with a camera asked me my opinion I would probably give it .
We all like a bit of credit when it's due I reckon he is doing no harm let him have his day in the sun.

I like JG. But when he starts acting like a promoter rather than a trainer, I don't like him.

But there's promoters that think there coaches, nutritonists, strength and conditioning experts, matchmakers :yay: :witzend:

A matchmaker is to find & make fights & the fighter has to look at his coach to advise him & risks should be calculated not just for people's entertainment as it's these kids livelly hood & trainers invest countless hours building these lads. Some promoters want quick returns & may not believe in all there fighters

Indeed. I recently read a promoter (and a manager for that matter) talking up how Ricky Burns would benefit from a change in the training regime. When that didn't work out, they starting talking about how Ricky needs to move up in weight. Why don't they just go the whole hog and actually train him themselves, they obviously know how to do it ?!?
