Caparello / Geale

Good to see some Aussies testing themselves against the very best. It doesn't happen all that often.
Not the results we were hoping for but now they know where the truly stand in the grand scheme of things.
What ever Krusher and GGG achieve in the future we can have a measuring stick as to how good these two really were.
What do others think of the future for Daniel and Blake?

Geale, Leapai and Caparello have lead Australian boxing into a golden age, I hear Soliman has a big fight coming up in the states he says is bigger then GGG or Murray... Cotto or Martinez? And lets not forget about Fletcher v Jacobs or Brown's heavyweight title charge.

Would be a very tempting target for Mayweather at Middle, (Weakest champ around?)

Dawson / Trout lets not forget!

Certainly been a good year for Aussie talent stepping up to world level in title fights.

I thought Geale would have given GGG a harder time, but had a feeling Caparello would just not possess enough firepower to keep Kovalev at bay!

Yup Dawson Trout. Why do you think Mundine really passed on Trout?

Probably the same reason he passed on Golovkin and a few others.

Err , don't think so , Just shown up how facking easy it is to manipulate a title shot based on where you live , not how good you are .

I don't think Geale was un-likely challenger for GGG , bit disrespectful really. Totally one of two or three who deserved a shot. Plus he gave up a money making belt for the opportunity.

I think Australian boxing is in the doldrums really. Last year it's boxing mag, World of Boxing ended. (It was total trash though.) And most of the names seem distinctly at the end of their careers. There really isn't very much young talent. Damien Hooper, that's about it. And he's been badly rocked by some non-entity already. I think Soliman had the right idea coming to the UK and serving out an apprentiship of sorts. I was just getting into Boxing News when he was being outpointed by Howard Eastman.
