Any news on his next fight?

I saw a few articles the other day saying he had something huge he hoped to announce last week. Bigger than GGG apparently, but haven't heard anything.

I am guessing he is talking about Cotto or Alvarez, but who knows?

Bigger fight in this case means more money :OhYes:

I was presuming that if it's a bigger money fight than GGG then it's a unification likely with cotto but iv heard on other forums that it might be Jermain Taylor

who's Taylor pormoted by ? If Taylor is bigger than GGG it must be setting something else up. Is jermaine still a big enough draw to be bigger financially than GGG? My undertsanding is GGG isnt that great with the box office in the USA.

I think you might have hit it on the head in your last sentence.

Pretty sure DiBella is still his promoter.
Jermain has no drawing power or television contract these days.
His last two fights were buried on undercards and not televised.

GGG is a far bigger draw in the USA than Taylor is at this point; not even close.

Bash for cash is right that in this instance by bigger fight than GGG it's bigger money and you're also correct, Scotty, in that it's setting something else up.

Do you know if anything has been finalized yet? Sounds big.

Rumors are that it's Taylor. Is that really a bigger money fight than GGG at this point? Taylor isn't a draw anymow....

Should be very winnable though, unlike a GGG fight.

Another site has Vegas as a possible location.
That could get interesting as they don't usually allow boxers who had an MRI show a brain bleed fight in their jurisdiction.
The brain bleed was five years ago though and there are plenty of other places that will let him fight.

another site says it's going to be at an "east coast venue to be announced".
Somewhere in Florida probably, they'll let anybody fight there regardless of past medical history.
I hope they get a ref that is aware of Taylor's history of having a brain bleed and he will be quick to stop the fight if it gets one-sided at any point.

It's an FNF show but it's actually on Wednesday here in America.
The week before that espn is also televising the Stevens/N'Dam that will determine the IBF mandatory.

Taylor has been arrested for supposedly shooting his cousin following an altercation.
