if i could just add one serious note, i still don't get why this fight
is at welter. makes no sense for pac. even though these abc titles
mean little, pac still has the wbo 147 and agieri has the wbo 140.
this means if agieri DID win, no matter what his nickname would be,
he would have both the wbo 140 AND the wbo 147. he has a remote
chance of coming out of this with titles in 2 divisions. if he loses, he is
still the 140 champ. the best pac can do is defend his own title and if he
loses somehow, even by some scandal or robbery, he has no titles.

pac wouldn't have to do very much to make 140 and then it would be
pac who would most likely come out of it with the wbo 140 and 147 titles.
i know the abc titles mean little, but these guys still fight for titles, so
why wouldn't pac want to hold titles in 2 divisions instead of one?
there are arguably better fights for pac at 140, especially if golden boy
is really willing to work with TR, as oscar claims. pac is the one who holds
all the cards and he isn't making the most of it. seems like a bad business
decision. if pac is going to fight for titles and pay sanctioning fees, then
he should go for the 2nd title. algieri can't afford to say no.

How about "The Superfight Killer" since he's already knocked Provo out of a potential fight with Pac or Floyd, and beating Manny would finally squash any thoughts of him and Money.

I kinda agree. I had never seen Algieri fight prior to seeing him against Ruslan. I was impressed with his speed and super human workrate. He was truly in amazing condition as well and showed a ton of heart. Did he deserve the decision? Questionable I suppose, but I was happy to see him get it regardless. I also liked his personality in the post fight interview. Seems like a gentleman and a smart fellow.

Pacquiao isn't Provodnokov and I don't get why they get compared. They fight nothing alike aside from having Roach as their trainer.

Oh I'm not comparing Provodnokov to Pacquiao. Only stating that Algieri overcame a dangerous foe that he was heavily predicted to lose to. Pac will likely win, but I'd like to see Chris give it his best.

adelson is paying cash up front for these macao cards, and he is doing them for the asian
audience, so ppv is not even expected to play a big role, here.
to be honest, i think that might be why they picked algieri for this macao card.

as pac's opponent in front of asia's high rollers in macao, which had gaming
